Seeing a lot of negative buzz for that new single, but I like it.

Yeah it's pleasant enough. Doesn't really do too much for me cause it's pretty generic in TV otr terms. Still doesn't deserve the backlash it's getting.

Can't wait. These guys have several great albums now, but not one which breaks through into genius territory. I'm always excited to hear what they do next.

First of the song I'm hearing (and first I'm hearing of a new album coming, to be honest), but I certainly see where the disappointment comes from. The initial singles off of their last three albums have been amazing songs, and this one...isn't. It's not bad, it's nothing special whatsoever though.

That said I'm still disappointed they won't be touring round here, at least as currently scheduled.

Omg 2011.

So godlike.

Track is very good by any other band's standards, but it doesn't quite reach TV on the Radio's average brilliance!

'Wolf Like Me' is one of the greatest songs ever committed to popular culture. I'm expecting good things from this album.

Fuuuuuuck

I just bought the extra fancy tickets to the April 20th show @ St.Andrews hall and now my girlfriend tells me she has a calculus exam at that time.

now i need to find someone who would want to go.

This band came to my school for the end-of-year campus festival...

..and they were absolutely awful. I hear their album stuff is decent, but I can't imagine wanting to see them live.

they're a club band. almost all festivals suck

it kinda sounds like the evolution of that first ep. it's alright.

i've seen them a couple of times, the first time was pre-drummer and it was pretty bad. the second time was in a hotel basement bar with cocorosie and it was one of the best show i've ever seen. the third time was in a larger indie rock venue and it was just OK.

I'm not a fan of the new single. This band has left its balls at the door. This song could've easily been on Dear Science, my least favorite album of theirs. I miss their fast paced, in your face, songs like "Wolf Like Me" or "Staring at the Sun." Knowing what this band is capable of, I consider this new single very disappointing.

take me

I'm either so jaded that I think everything sucks these days (very possible) or this song is just boring. That latter statement is as equally possible though.

I saw TV on the Radio this weekend, and I absolutely loved both new songs. Listening to the recording again, though, it's just not the same. Both were incredible, I was pretty shocked at how much I loved Will Do.

Also, they released a video for Will Do this week:

edit: This wasn't the show I was at, I saw them the next night at a smaller SXSW set but here's an example. I like it so much better than the recording:

How so? Is it true that TVotR aren't that great live?

This was the second time I've seen them, but this show was incredible start to finish. Small venue, free SXSW party and they played their asses off. The first time was at a large stage at a big festival and they weren't bad by any stretch, but it may as well have been a different band from the one I saw Saturday. Best show I've seen in a long time, easily the best I saw during SXSW.

I saw them while they were touring for RtCM, and for DS. Both times they were amazing. I was on the fence about them before the RtCM concert. It was the best concert I had ever seen.

In both cases, they played in relatively small venues. This might make a big impact on how they are perceived.

Every time I think "Will Do" is starting to grow on me, I go to their back catalog and just realize it's pretty weak compared to most of their work. Hopefully it's one of the few slower songs on the album

It feels really short, but it's actually pretty normal.

I enjoy a lot about it, but I need more time with it to really start getting some of the nuances.
