Jesus...over 5M in a single week...where the best selling version was a 70$/80€ edition from PS5.

Another hit for the "they will be releasing their games on PS Plus day one by the end of this gen" crowd, lmao.

They basically paid for the game already.

edit: Just realized this isn't even a full week! Game came out in November 9....and this data is only until November 13. It's literally just 5 days, lmao.

This is just UK boxed sales don't look into it....emmm wait? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Btw excellent game, I can't spoil anything but I'm halfway through it and it's fantastic, the combat is really satisfying and the story is great, I already prefer it over GOW 2018.

Deserved. Amazing game with great amount of content. Thers not many single player games that deserve full price at launch, this one do.

How many days was this?

As expected, monster sales. Very impressive to say the least. And it coincided with PS5 stock at the perfect time.

I wonder how many were sold on the PS4.

Hoping it crosses 10 million by January. I know TLOU PT 2 just recently crossed 10 million. But it was a steepish drop from the first game.

The Last of Us 2 dropped off a fucking cliff after the first few weeks. I don't think Ragnarok will suffer like that, when January is over, this game will be on 12-ish million, at least.

TLOU2 surpassed 10M in a year and half. Not really "recently". Neil announced in May that "early this year" it had surpassed 10M. It's been almost a year since then.

Damn. And the record might hold for a bit considering its the last cross gen game

Most of the software sales are on PS5 these days. By this time next year they will have enough units sold for this to not make much of a difference.

Spider-Man 2 will become the fastest-selling first-party game, it's guaranteed.

What do they mean by launch game? Seems like an unnecessary identifier....its obviously not a console launch period game. Do they just mean the game being released?

2 weeks? it came out on Wednesday, isn't this through Sunday, so 5 days?

Well, Sunday would be the start of the new week so my guess is 4 days. Would also guess they came just under 5mil in three days otherwise would have went with that metric.

We're going to see if the TV show gives the games some legs.

Yes, this is to identify that it isn't the best-selling first-party game, just the fastest-selling, and specifying during the duration of launch. You've got to be real specific with PR comments like this.

Ahh, got it thanks. So like its first week (or is it 3 days)?

Its in the pic in the OP. 5 days. The game launched day 9, the numbers are for PS4 and PS5 sales combined as of November 13, 2022.
