Microsoft with Forza be like

Already way better than the PlayStation Showcase! Phil, you undersold yourself. If I had a PS5 only I would have sold it for an Xbox. This feels more like a PlayStation show than what PlayStation showed. There are more single player and story driven games and less generic FPS GaaS games.

Forza looks sick. The reflection of other cars in your car as you pass them on track.

Hoping for some extra gameplay like the last show?

Only 35 mim and we still have Starfield? Man, Xbox is really serious!

If Fable in really in-engine, together with Forza and Hellblade, these are the graphics I was waiting this generation!

With cinematic games, cinematic trailers are the best because they lean into that game's strengths. For other games, the best gameplay trailer they can have is just showing a slice of gameplay for like 2 minutes straight. Avowed should have been the latter.

I've been saying from the beginning that it was a mistake putting Hellblade out as the premiere title of next-gen games, because (unless it really has evolved its gameplay, which we've seen no example of,) this really isn't the type of title which showcases in gameplay forums.

Hellblade is much more intimate and paced out, and works better as a fan-oriented title rather than a mass-market game (even though it has AAA production values and looks hot.) The first game wasn't about scenario variety or combat complexity, and the sequel promises to be bigger and deeper but still seems to have its roots in interactive storytelling rather than rich gameplay.

Putting it front-and-center as a marque game, some kind of blockbuster, has just put more expectation on what the game (probably) isn't.

It's already better and it's only 30 minutes in. Yeah, some weaker looking games here and there, but the general vibe is so much better than Sony's conference.

Sure it's "better" if you like a lot of fake in-engine cutscenes from games being captured on PC that aren't coming out until next year or later.

Forza Motorsport has been the only 2023 release date so far outside of the FO76 expansion.

Payday 3 as well but well that prolly comes on all platforms.

People still obviously keep buying / playing this stuff... I guess...

I am sorry but that hellblade scene is the worst cutscene ive ever seen. They are going full retarded with the voices, and it is constant and annoying. i dont care if thats whats shes going through, its bad filmmaking. Moviemaking is about more than just exposing you to mental illness, torture, murder, etc. this is such amateur storytelling im surprised no one is making fun of it. Absolutely brutal to watch.

And no gameplay. like come on. this game was revealed in 2019. can we fucking see something that wasnt played on auto mode?
You're right on all of this BUT graphically the game is stunning.
