Concord pricing listed early on the Australia PlayStation Store; $59.95 AUD (so should be $40 in the US)

While I'm a fan of $40 games I have to wonder how many people will pay for it when similar games are free to play. It's possible that Sony has something special here, but from the gameplay in the trailer I didn't see what it was.

If it’s. it free with PlayStation plus I am out. Not spending a single cent on this game because it will be DoA.

it doesn’t even look very fun too to be honest.

Would rather pay 40€ upfront than have it be a F2P game. Every since they changed CS to the F2P model it is flooded with cheaters, dont think people will do that when they have to pay 40€ for every new key.

I see "live service," and I become less interested. I see "live service" with an entry fee, and it's as if it never existed.

I'm curious how this will work out for them.

On the one hand Helldivers 2 was super successful at that price point.
BUT this game has more direct competitors which are all F2P, and the zoomer target audience they are clearly aiming for is used to games being F2P

They better count on getting some absolutely raving reviews, otherwise I imagine this is going to sink like a rock.

$40 is cheap enough to where I might just throw that down to try a new hero shooter with some friends,
but knowing it's woke and probably has more things than pronouns to be revealed. I'm good. Pass.

That's basically what I did with Helldivers 2. Didn't really plan to get it. Threw down the $40 cause it looked good enough to take a chance with friends playing.

Yea, if they are just trying to copy the Helldivers model I don't think it will go how they expect. Helldivers was the most fresh multiplayer experience of the generation, easily. Totally unique on the market.

Concord is competing with a half dozen other PvP hero shooters, and it looks the least interesting of the bunch. All those other games are all F2P. I also have my doubts that they would be as restrained with the microtransactions as HD2 has been.

Unless the beta just blows people away, this thing seems dead on arrival if it costs anything.

Once again, the game could be have a chance (big production value, maybe good gameplay, another 5vs5)... but come on, those characters..........
