Well at least if you opt not to play it because of that, you'll be firm on your commitment. And that is respectable in itself.
But in general, I can tell you that BG3 is a beloved game on GAF and most of the internet, broke award records etc etc. And it has the gender / pronoun options in its character creator too. It even changes how some characters talk to you, whether with male / female pronouns or they/them if you chose non-binary.
Many people in this thread enjoyed the game regardless of all that tho. So, to Elong's point, pronouns in a fantasy game can be acceptable and do not contribute in killing art.
