Leaked review blurb that briefly got posted on Metacritic. Sounds like they liked it

Looks great, but i fear it's gonna get smoked by oblivion. Given its on gamespass, it def feels like a dick move by MS. It's competing over the exact same audience as their shadow drop first party title.

Based off videos I've seen this game is going to have some vaseline looking iq with heavy motion blur and artifacts

That's my big concern on ps5 pro anyway otherwise it looks like a solid low 80 mc

It'll deserve a 90+, it'll get a 84-89, it's not an exclusive with high hype nor with the studio paying reviewers.

What matters is the opinion of the players after 6-12 months, i think this will be seen as one of the games of the generation.

I'm hoping they get a 98+ or higher, imagine that.. Highest rated game in decades (I believe) from a new studio with their first game, that would make my day to see it 😃👍

I have absolutely no idea what to expect with this. It could be a complete disappointment, an early GOTY contender or anything in-between.

I'll land at 82

I bet the game nets a 78 or an 83.
Game looks great and I am very much looking forward to playing this weekend. (got physical on ps5 and digital on steam...good luck on the game!!)

I want it to get an 87 but they will not make it due to poor performance (optimization, or graphic options, or some other thing people need to bitch about) , some inconsistent story pacing in the "boring middle of the story", and they will get checked a few points for this being their first game.

On my review bingo card:

"Fist time developer struggles with..."
"See a bright future for this developer when they get a chance to..."
"As a turn based fRPG it does enough to keep the tedium of repeated battles to a minimum."
"Sandfall Interactive has taken chances with an out of the box approach to combat design and a striking take on UI/HUD elements which, when executed well, are some of the best we have seen when they are executed well but...that's where the picture that isn't so clear with E33.
What is clear is how passionate this junior developer is, and, based on the time I spent with E33 they have a bright future...but one this reviewer hopes is UNOBSCURED ( ) with (performance/pacing/insert smarmy comment here) issues in their future titles."

Want to see this in the 80s or 90s, but have a feeling it's going to be high 70s. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm playing it either way.

You missed the lack of exploration

Really difficult to predict what this game will score. It looks fantastic and there is a LOT of info and footage of the game already. At the same time, it's the first game from this dev team and despite how small the team is, it looks ridiculously ambitious. I really hope they pull it off and it reviews well, but most importantly, I hope to enjoy it. I preordered this with Best Buy's $10 GC offer, knowing worst case scenario I can return it if it's a true dud. But there is such Legend of Dragoon energy coming from this, maybe it could achieve cult classic status even if it does not garner mass appeal.

I think we're looking at another A Plague Tale situation here, except that the combat part and everything around it is much better - hopefully Asobo will finally manage to fix this in the third game.

Since i can play since yesterday its definitely a 90 plus for me. It's just technically not as polished as i wish it would be.
