Motherfucker… yeah I probably read that same guide that said you can kill them and the only downside is your guilt.

You can kill them later after you finish the quest.

If you are on PC like me, you can add the remaining lumine points with a Cheat Engine pointer or something after you turn in the quest later. That's what i usually do when i fuck some quest up.

I will do that, out of principle. I'm really disappointed in IGN's crappy AI generated guide

On expert the 2nd phase of this act 2 fight is some insane dark souls shit. I don't know how I'll beat it.
dualliste

It's crazy how this game can make you feel so ridiculously powerful but so weak in the same fight

Not sure if anyone have brought this up yet, but if you're doing solo fights for exp, be sure to take everyone out of party so that any exp you gain from solo fights can be shared between your whole party.

I love how every battle can be deathly, or at least while playing on hard. Makes the games very fun, there's no downtime.

Just got a xbox series X for my son so I installed the game on it as well to give them +1 game pass. They need all the love we can give them

Pre-rendered cutscenes in this game are bugged right? They look horribly low res compared to the actual game. Very blurry, noisy, and posterized.

Sit down you cunt.

lol is this the dick who never gives you a turn unless you counter every hit of a multi hit chain many times, and counter the one shot kill move?

People are going to be real sad if they are doing dodge only or get hit when they reach this guy.

I was one of those mostly dodge only people, this fight took me 3 tries, it wasn't that bad :P

Damn this game just exudes charm. The conversations between characters are so well fleshed out that at times I forget I'm playing a video game, where the dialog is usually on the cringe side. Still only got to play for six hours so far (still in Act 1) but damn this game is such a treat.

OK I'm still totally developing my opinion on the game as I'm only 2-3 hours in but so far but as a huge JRPG fan I don't really like it. The battle system sucks. So far fights are either braindead easy or just about parrying. You can use the other systems at play (buffs, debuffs, Overcharge, stains, etc.) but whether you do or not is irrelevant, your success is just about learning the attack patterns so you don't take damage and then you win.

In Sekiro, it was very fun to parry because the way the real-time combat was presented was amazing. Here I am not having fun learning attack patterns and parrying, would much prefer if the combat was truly turn-based.

Is there anyone who didn't like the combat at first but think it got better as the game progressed?

The game is always spicing it up.

As you progress you will have a parry , a dodge, a jump, a giga chad parry, and a giga chad attack mechanic unlock too.

On top of this the game will need you to figure out elements that enemies are weak too, enemies have major debuff, the aim shot mechanic will be key to defeating some enemies, you'll have to break many key bosses to even do damage, and then there's enemy combos that will string parries and jumps and giga parries in one sequence.

Will you like the combat more as you go on? Probably not from your post but it isn't a one trick pony, and if you want to be challenged put it on hard mode, or put it on easy mode and enable auto QTEs if you want to focus on just story.

I wouldn't compare this to sekiro, a whole another game. I hate DS 1-3 and elden ring, but sekiro is a badass game, got even the platinum. That being said, this game is more enjoyable and if we have to compare these 2, then fuck sekiro too.

Give it another 2 hours, if nothing changes by then, then this game isn't for you I guess. Spend time into something you can enjoy.

damn, msrp base game is only $50? I got the deluxe edition for $10 for some costumes just because to me $60 is 'default'

listen studios, just make a good game and charge a reasonable price!

I'm using that to remove sharpening and unlock cutscene framerates.

After that I'm overriding DLSS to DLSS4/Transformer model, implementing RTX HDR, and then creating/editing the engine.ini file to fully remove motion blur, tone down blooming, disable depth of field (still back-and-forth on this one), remove chromatic aberration, and remove lens flare effects.

Hello papi, if you want depth of field ti have better quality, use DLDSR plus DLSS. I am using this combo and the depth of field has better quality and it blends better with characters hair making the hair dithering almost gone.

Give it a try

I'm on Act 2 and I don't know why I expected the first story boss there not to act like it's from Dark Souls. I should have seen that coming from a mile away.

Some of the best weapons, bosses, environments and pictos are found in optional, easy-to-miss areas, if you're just mainlining the story you're literally missing half the game lol.

Entered one of those DANGER! areas, where my attacks barely moved a sliver off the enemies healthbar and their attacks were pretty much ohk. However, you can bait and kite around the enemies in some of these locations and grab the valuable treasure without having to engage in battle, pro-tip for the day 👌

I did my part my dudes.

Soundtrack is amazing.

Nice art direction.

Can't seem to time parry or dodge yet - I get good timing like half of the time, and other times I'm absolutely getting my ass kicked.

The pricing seems good for what we get from the game.

Although IQ of the game seems quite low, I get jaggies even with moded FSR4 on RX 9070XT here and there, which is a bit of a bummer I guess.

I had to turn off depth of field because is absolutely broken... Other than that I haven't had any issues.

I dont have any issues with image quality on xbox x. In fact it looks much better than some graphics darlings like alan wake 2

I don't like being hyperbolic but... I'm 20 or 30 hours in or so and I feel like I might be playing one of the best games ever. This might go up in my top 3 easily if it keeps going like this, holy shit.

Feels like the game I've dreamt about for the last 20 years or so, can't believe this is real. It literally has everything that I've wanted in an RPG like this. It's like a mish-mash of a lot of my favorite games, but only grabbing the amazing parts from each. I didn't know I could feel like this anymore, this game is consuming me.
