Battlefield 6 Multiplayer reveal - 31st July 2025 (11:30 PT // 14:30 ET // 19:30 UK)

First week of August seems realistic, I will plan part of my vacation around Beta. As a BC2, BF3 and BF4 addict, I get a lot of positive vibes from this game.

youre in luck, because the alpha played and had the same vibe as all the above, as buggy as it was, i had a blast playing it

I dont fully get the love for Operation Metro or Locker. Most of the time its just sitting in one spot, shooting at people who got bored at sitting in their spot and A LOT of grenade throwing. However this is when they exceed the player count to what the map should hold (IMO). 24player rush is fine.

Maps I look forward to most: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Sharqi peninsula, Grand Bazaar, Siege of Shanghai, Floodzone, Zavod.

I also hope they dont do the whole levolution thing again. After a while all servers (private at least) will demand you not to bring down the tower/ dam because the map is worse off once the levolution has happened.

Also changing weather effects, please no... If the weather changes every game and makes the map look worse... why...
Metro is fantastic for Rush. Two lanes, one team chips away at each of them whilst the other tries desperately to hold it. It's a pure war of attrition.

I'd like Grand Bazaar too and Atacama Desert.

OMG can you imagine if we get HArdline in the Portal. "woop woop, that's the sound of da police!!"

Was the map Backstab ever in portal? would love a modern remake of that map.

I asked co-pilot if I should pre-order:

🎮 Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be a return to form for the franchise, with classic boots-on-the-ground combat, destructible environments, and modern military vehicles—all the hallmarks fans have been craving. But whether it's worth preordering depends on what you value most.
Here's a breakdown to help you decide:
🧢 Editions & Pricing
EditionConsole PricePC PriceExtras (TBC)
Standard Edition€79.99€69.99Base game + possible cosmetics
Phantom Edition€109.99€99.99Skins, weapon charms, maybe currency
  • The Phantom Edition is digital-only and may include a Season Pass or premium currency.
  • No early access is included this time, unlike previous Battlefield titles.
🎁 Preorder Bonuses
  • Bonuses haven't been officially revealed yet, but expect cosmetic items like weapon skins, charms, and player cards—similar to Battlefield 2042's preorder pack.
  • Preorders go live July 31, right after the multiplayer reveal event.
🕹️ Platform Availability
  • Only available on current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S) and PC.
  • PS4 and Xbox One are not supported.
If you're a longtime fan or just itching for large-scale multiplayer mayhem, preordering could be worthwhile—especially if you want to preload and dive in on launch day. But if you're cautious about performance or content, waiting for reviews post-launch might be the smarter play

According to sources, who wished to remain anonymous as they were not authorised to discuss Battlefield 6's Beta plans, there'll be two Betas during August, starting with the closed Beta on August 7th.

August 7th-8th will be a closed beta, where codes can be obtained through Twitch drops from one of the hundreds of content creators streaming the event during the multiplayer reveal, or codes can be obtained by pre-ordering the game. It's believed among some sources that the Beta will then open up on August 9th – 10th as an 'Open Beta' phase.

It's said that pre-orders for Battlefield 6 will be live during the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal event.

But that's not all, a second Open Beta of Battlefield 6 will also take place from August 14th-17th.

As of yet, it's currently unclear when, or if, the free-to-play Battle Royale mode will be mentioned in an official capacity at the event, or if EA is saving that announcement for later down the road.

I don't follow him so don't know his content but right now I don't trust any of these content creators as they are literally getting paid to hype this game

That said I really enjoyed my time with the pre alphas and I am 100% buying this game and even preordering, yes preordering :)

I know, but its probably true. BF trailers are always hype :)

If its anything like past Battlefield trailers, 90% of the stuff shown only happens once every 200 matches

These trailers are always packed with perfectly timed vehicle takedowns, synchronized squad plays, and cinematic chaos that looks amazing but rarely happens naturally

Most matches end up being a mix of random deaths, lone wolves ignoring objectives, and that one guy crashing the helicopter ten seconds after takeoff.

I'll wait to see real gameplay before getting too excited

Nah man BF matches are cinematic as fuck. 2042 was a bit lackluster on that front, but every other BF is pure cinema in multiplayer

Fair warning about preorders on Steam. If you play the closed beta for more than a couple of hours it will not let you refund the game after that point. Even if retail is a different client.

Been caught out with that one before.

Edit: Just seen the post below so disregard. Wow they really are pushing the boat out on this one if true.

Fuck man I waited a whole minute for the chopper to respawn only to get to sit in the gunner seat whilst some mong flies me straight into the side of a building.

Can I request a chopper license side mission 😂

This maybe nothing but reinstalled EA play last night and The battlelabs was showing 3 files totalling 48gb..downloaded in case its the pre d/l for the beta or its just the old stuff from testing

image upload always fails for me on here 🤷‍♂️

I was playing BFV through EA app and saw this too. Could mean nothing and else could mean beta files

Pretty crazy that one of the things I'm most excited about is the return of an actual scoreboard. Fucking sad how much 2042 fucked this up. Like if seeing someone higher than you on a scoreboard triggers you much that you quit playing, you got much bigger issues than skill.

Is kinda absurd that idiots would think scoreboard are associate with toxic behavior. 2042 was a total catastrophe.

You must have had a very boring Battlefield career if coolshit only happens once every 200 matches.
Considering a conquest match is like what 30 - 40 minutes long.

I actually just stopped recording gameplay moments cuz id have too many cool clips.
I also play Engineer(whatever class is best at vehicle takedowns) so i had too much cool shit going on.
Transport Helis dont even bother.....littlebird fuck them ninjas but ill get him eventually.

Also. BF is probably one of the few objective games where people actually PTFO because what the fuck else are you gonna do, run into enemy territory and get mobbed.
You are either defending or attack, yeah you might have a weak squad leader who doesnt issue commends, well take over and issue commands, most of the time in my experience (other than snipers) youll find that the squad will actually start attacking the objectives you ask them too, cuz unless you yourself are also a bad leader, they assume youve seen something worth doing.

Rush even worse, how you NOT gonna PTFO in Rush, you gonna sit back at spawn to spot no one once the cache has moved forward?
