I think bring her back was more horror than weapons. The only horror part in weapons is that disgusting hagI ended up really liking it. Went in with no expectations, well, as much as that is possible when everyone and their mother is raving about it. But it was a movie that had me guessing wtf was going on and how all these things were related. I did not expect the "twist", if that can be considered one.
But just like Bring her Back I am not sure if I'd call this a horror. Thriller with horror elements I guess.
2. The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Man this was a good one, it surprised me a lot. Going about 30 mins in I thought it was going to be another mediocre possession movie but it was genuinely unsettling and had some brutal scenes.
Barbarian started so well. Once Justin Long arrived the film took a turn which I enjoyed and then the creature appeared and sort of ruined it for me. I didn't hate it but the hype for it really set up expectations the film didn't meet completely.Barbarian was my horror movie of that year
Fire movie.

Weapons though met my expectations. Probably exceeded them actually.
Fuck tall bitches
I enjoyed it. The villian was well played. This week I plan on seeing Dangerous Animals, I mean I have a subscription to my cinema theater, so the worst that can happen is the movie is trash and I've lost a hour and a half. But I have a feeling this might be decent.
Getting the boys round and watching a bunch of 35mm scans in my projector shed/mancave this October.
Just need to get the bar built before then.
Night of the Reaper
Saw a post about it on a horror page on Facebook, and you know how they can overhype shit so bad that you just want to check it out. This is a Shudder movie, Shudder isn't available in The Netherlands, so I have my owns ways of watching it.
I don't see what all the hubbub about this is. Takes way too long to get going, is never ever scary or tense in any way. There's a twist, but I couldn't care much for it.
I watched this last night and feel asleep halfway through and I have insomnia. Yeah. I can't remember too many Shudder productions that have been top quality.
About a tenth of the time its kinda like "hey, that's a cute form, what if I let it catch me this time?"watched It follows.. another one that surprised me with it's creepyness.
Obviously not a masterpiece but it was a solid 7.
Really looking forward to this one!
High hopes for horror from Argentina after the brilliant "When Evil Lurks".
Recent fave: Bring her back. That was awesome.
Good movie. Sequel is in the works. They Follow, and im not joking.watched It follows.. another one that surprised me with it's creepyness.
Obviously not a masterpiece but it was a solid 7.
I put this in my top three vamp films, with Lost Boys and Fright Night. I will fight ANYONE that says differently!
Damn, this takes me back...
The score kind of made it, at least it did for me. It gave me a boner.watched It follows.. another one that surprised me with it's creepyness.
Obviously not a masterpiece but it was a solid 7.
Dont think I've ever seen it, will add to the list!
Ed Gein Monster trailer 2

That bad? I quite enjoyed the Dahmer season and the one about the two brothers was good too. But this director, known for American Horror Story has made plenty misses with that show too. We'll see.
Not gagging because of the quality of the trailer, opposite, I think it looks fascinating, but this is about probably the worst, most creepy killer in modern history. Wearing the skin of peoples is what makes me gag. I'll have to muster courage to watch this shit.
Ah yes, the movie about a girl who friendzones a dude so fucking hard she'd rather die than sleep with him.watched It follows.. another one that surprised me with it's creepyness.

FTFTAh yes, the movie about a girl who friendzones a dude so fucking hard she'd rather die than sleep with him.
I am curious about the movie Good Boy.
Is this suitable to watch for puppies? Thinking about watching it at the theater with Sir Snuggles the 3rd.
Not a movie (a show I think?) but this looks actaully quite decent.
finally get around to watch Weapons. I actually like it better than Barbarian. I went in blind for both and while Barbarian was interesting to me only during the first half, Weapons had my attention throughout the whole length.
Ed Gein Monster trailer 2
I'll give it a go when it comes out.
Derry is like Half-Life 2 in the sense that you someday inevitably return to it
That's when the real fun starts mans got it all planned out.
Kairo is probably my favorite Japanese horror![]()
Watched this last night. Decent. I need to start watching more Japanese horror films. I've seen Kwaiden, Onibaba, Audition, The Ring, Tag, House, and a few others I can't remember. I have Noroi: The Curse and Dark Water to watch soon.
