It's simply too frustrating. I'm not having fun. Too many pogo areas and frustrating enemy behavior and boss fights with randomized small enemy attacks which makes boss fights feel badly structured.
I've seen the credits roll…
but only the normal Act 2 Ending and extra ending that starts Act 3 but I haven't finished Act 3 yet

I'm doing an arcade at home session on saturn. Was on this racing game tougue king I just discovered. Then beat another world of bomberman. And now going to really try out elevator action. I've playedit only a tiny bit.
Bomberman reminds me of load runner. I checked to see if they ever made legend returns for saturn and they did. The import is not too bad on ebay. Eh been on a bit of a tear this weekend I gotta say. I already have it on PS1. Blah im getting it. Love that game.

I've had to turn to bootlegs on just a few that were just too expensive to justify. But the vast majority are original. Such a good time with this library. For my money, this was the most exciting era. Not necessarily the best games, but some are legit bangers, some that are weird dead-end designs, and some that are both.

Finished Doom 3 BFG on the steamdeck in 3D with xr glasses. Feels like a cross between Dead Space and Bioshock with the broadcasts and audio logs. Fun slower paced doom origins story with a dark atmosphere and lighting.

Finished Withering Rooms. Fantastic game. Its curse meter is one of the most interesting mechanics I've seen in a long time. Every spell curses you, the same a lot of enemy attacks and items. If the curse bar is fullfilled you start to lose life. But that's not all: the world changes if you're cursed. The more the curse bar is filled more creepy is the environment, almost Silent Hillesque. However not everything is bad. ghosts aren't longer invisible if you're cursed, and you can access some areas and even treasures. Even you can use your curse meter for some attacks stronger with some equipped items. Besides this feature, Withering Rooms knows how surprises you until the end. It's tense, unique and makes you every decision making important, specially about your builds.
And now I'm with Labyrinth of the Demon King. Damn, this shit is terrifying.

Remnant: From the Ashes (PC)
Bought both this game and Remnant II a while back at deep discounts, finally getting around to playing the first game.
It's kinda like Dark Souls with guns. The story is pretty generic post-apocalyptic fare; I find it hard to give a rat's ass about any of the dialogue. But the gameplay is pretty good. Already having a lot of fun with randos in co-op.

Long have I waited to play this one. Huge fan of the original game, especially its pixel art and music. 3D is a 2.5D remake with a rearranged soundtrack. Loving it so far, my only qualms are its 30fps update and super low resolution. The 3D effect, I should mention, is fantastic though.
I didn't know Pixel (the original one-man dev) essentially directed this remake, before I found this neat interview he did years ago.

I finished Harold Halibut on PS5. Great indie game, fantastic claymaytion art style and some good music here and there. Enjoyed it but not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
Back to bouncing between Romancing Saga 2 and Trails in the Sky remakes on PS5. Trails has very clean, very stable graphics which are amazing. I think Estelle may become my favourite trails character - I love Van and Agnes but I see them as an inseparable partnership rather than two separate characters.
Ball X Pit on PC has been my flow state game (it's going to be on so many goty lists this year), but I pulled the trigger on Football Manager 26 now it's in beta and my PC gaming time is going to be thin on the ground for the foreseeable.

After spending another weekend and finishing the 3rd boss fight in Death Stranding 2 I can confidently say that I'm blown away.
I came into this game for the usual Kojima weirdness and writing and am a bit surprised of how much of a good game it is. I remember liking part 1 quite a lot but that was more due to how unique it was and less because of how much fun I had with the gameplay. This one is really, really good. May ever surpass Clair Obscure as GOTY for me if it doesn't run out of steam later on. Did not expect that going in.

Trying to play as much Metroid as I can before Prime 4 drops. I did Zero Mission + the original. Prime remastered not long ago and now Fusion. Interesting spin on the formula. Has a more cosmic horror vibe to it that I totally love. I hope Nintendo drops Prime 2 & 3 before 4 but I probably won't manage to beat them before Beyond. I think I can squeeze in another playthrough of Dread though. Super hyped!!

Too many games right now. I'm playing:
Ball x Pit: These grindy survivor roguelike games are too addictive. I find them relaxing as you don't have to think too much while playing.

Recently finished Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 EE. Those are some great games. Didn't care too much for the added content though.

I picked up Control ultimate edition on Series X for just over £3.
I've already platted it on Ps4 some time ago, but the opportunity to play such an incredible game again with a performance boost (Ps4 version chugged) is just too good to miss.
I can't put into words how much I loved my first experience with Control.

On Switch 2: RE4 (2005 HD version, I saved at the minecart level), Luigi's Mansion on GameCube NSO app, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water.
On Xbox Series X: Open to suggestions.
On PS2: Silent Hill 2 (somehow I have never played this before, and I want to play the OG version before trying out the remake eventually).

Finished a couple of days go. Really enjoyed it. Not played a decent point and click adventure game for a while, so this was fun. Bit too easy, however, and Kathy herself could do with being a little less aggressive and sarcastic. Otherwise, recommended. I'll be playing the sequel.

Still on this one. It's a long game, for sure! Combat is iffy, and there are some weird AI issues (such as police officers completely ignoring the monsters, and then shooting the player when they're trying to defend themselves..!). Will play through to the end, though.

Had this on my radar (so to speak) for ages. In theory it's literally "The Game Made For Me", but it had a rough launch and it was silly-expensive so I passed on it at the time. On sale now so I finally picked it up.
It's playable solo but requires a lot of situational awareness. Best played in coop definitely. Very small community but super dedicated and welcoming; it's easy to find games on the unofficial discord.
The main theme music goes hard too.

Beat Zhang Rang. Probably my least favourite boss in the game. He's easy, but he's just so annoying with all the clones running amok. I think it's Lu Bu next up, which is such a good boss fight.
Scrolling through steam, browsing various horror games in my library and trying to find something I can play tonight for Halloween. Not played Resident Evil 7 in a while so I may go for that. Might go for something I've never played before. Options are Silent Hill 4, Amnesia: The Bunker, Doom Eternal and Darkwood.

My least favorite boss is blindfold man. The whole battle has to be played by his rules. My favorite is the DLC boss Taishi Ci. A bit overtuned but fair and dynamically cinematic.

Just finished Tormented Souls 2. If Expedition 33 was my RPG Goty this year, then Tormented Souls 2 is my Horror game of the year. I thought it would go to Silent Hill F, but that game was a letdown in the horror department.

I platinumed ball x pit. Highly addictive and fun game. Just moved onto Silent Hill 2, as it was "free" on one of the ps+ subs. I've gotten past the first mainline story area about 60-90 mins in and IDK. Not fully grabbing me just yet. I did beat it back in the day and remember liking it a lot so will stick with it but it's also been so long that I remember pretty much 0 from the game.
Also dabbling in some bf6, but that's really only when my friends are able to get on as well. As someone who has never cared for BF and always preferred CoD, it's really well made. My only major gripe is the unlocks are rather annoying.

Another one of those short walking-sim horror games. Quite liked the setting: Apartment block in China. Everything you'd expect from a game like this with jumpscares, chase sequences, and lore and story delivered through notes and newspapers. The old lady was quite creepy but the bigger monster was a bit over the top. Enjoyed my time with this at around two hours and worth the price when on sale.

Not anymore and if there is a quest or game breaking bug there's live support on the Discord.
If you have Fallout 4 on GoG, then GoG simply installs it for you. On Steam you need to follow a guide to downgrade the game to a different patch first. That can be a little time consuming.
I bought Fallout 4 twice. I have it on Steam and GoG. The latter only for London and the former for the original with mods. Just wait for a sale in that case. I think there's Autumn Sale now on GoG.
