Random thoughts.

Stand up comedy doesn't belong in arenas.
There's no intimacy and the connection with the audience is lost.
It only serves the comedian's inflated ego.

Also it's supposed to be offensive, it kind of sucks how much it's been neutered due to certain groups of people
While comedy doesn't necessarily have to be offensive when done right it forces people with an open mind to think differently.

My pioneers include George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Bill Hicks.

On the other hand you get a guy like Tom Papa who is one of my favorites yet never says a "dirty" word.
He has 4 Specials on Netflix 🙂

complete - incomplete... opposites

visible - invisible... opposites

accurate - inaccurate... opposites

valuable - invaluable... just means even more valuable...

I know why it means what it means, but it's still so weird.

I was very excited to join this community. It seemed the opposite of the terrible gaming forum I was visiting for many years before this one.

No, not really. It's just as toxic in its own ways. I am largely ignored. When I do post something in a rant or vent, (and not at an actual person, mind you) I am attacked and treated like an asshole for no reason. One or two same users usually leave positive emoji on my posts; to them, thank you. I always embrace emoji love.

Good single player gaming is dead. The games are just boring and shallow.
I want to play a number of multiplayer games, but they pretty much require group play to have the most fun; I don't have any gaming friends. Joining randoms does not work; no, I am not the issue. That retort is so old and lame already. So I just sit and watch people stream those games; they're all so good at games, and they have so much fun. Sure, many are selling out for the dollars but can I blame them? Nah.
It must be nice to be good at games, or at least have friends to enjoy them with. I have neither of those things.

/vent thanks for letting me post

You have my sympathies regarding your situation.
I've been exclusively playing single player games the last decade.

I think the last multiplayer I played was Halo 3.
I was lucky to find a good group of randos and we played together well for a couple of months.
Sure the online community may be hostile and immature but there are still good people out there.
You just gotta be patient and find them 🙂

Yeah Gaf is a cool (even Joe Cool) place. I haven't had disrespect here for a while and I try to do the same.

I agree with you with single player games though I tried to get into Clair Oscur and it's way too depressing and macabre for my tastes. Last multiplayer title I played was FFXI on PS2...

Thank you for the kindness! I appreciate it.
I remember my best multiplayer run: Left 4 Dead on Xbox 360. For about 9 months I was in a core group of good people and we played that game all night, every night.
I tried to find people in Apex Legends and it didn't ever work. I'd love to find some people for ARC Raiders but it hasn't gone well.
I play COD but everyone is in a party or mutes everyone lol.
