For me it's perfect timing too. Halo, Gears and Fable are all series I'm very nostalgic for.
Along with Forza Horizon 6 joining them on PS5 too I've not been this excited for a Microsoft lineup since about 2007.
When Xbox Series was revealed back in 2020, who could have imagined something like this...
Xbox Series will be looked back upon as a console that had next to zero console exclusives, I can't think of another console like it in gaming history.

I guess I imagined the long gameplay and developer talks and "behind the scenes" videos put out for perfect dark then.

There are 2 Perfect Dark trailers. One was a concept trailer in like 2020 showing the extreme weather and story set up. The second was a gameplay trailer about a year ago. Neither one is a deep dive. A deep dive is a longer dedicated segment. What you're talking about is what industry experts call a "trailer."

They probably went very ambitious with it and they'd rather show it when its ready instead of talk about about empty promises to avoid what happend with No Man's Sky. Man, it's like you didn't read what I wrote and you're arguing in circles. I already covered this idea of the character being defined as attractive and have no problem with it. even gave an example where the character would be :And the physical appearance is tied to the character portrayed.
The question is asking about "playing a character" not what option is the most sexy.
But you are asking about "why I would want Stark to be attractive", right? Let's try not to fail at answering your inquiry.
So if I understand correctly, you don't watch movies to specifically see attractive people, but plausible characters. Right?
So, you are more concerned about the execution, craftsmanship of characters/ character development, story telling etc...
Now, hypothetically speaking; if Tony Stark is defined as a "very attractive and narcissistic play boy" for example. Then, you should care and want Tony stark to be attractive. Because that is what the story demands, that is what the character demands.
It's as simple as that. I hope your question has been answered.

If they cast an ugly girl or whoopi goldberg there I would have been thinking why do all these boys have a crush on her, this doesn't make sense.
But I don't believe that Tony stark would be "a more appealing character" to me than the other option presented as long as the other person wasn't unkempt. Like I said the likes of Elon Musk or Andrew Tate aren't particularly good looking men but they are well groomed and would work fine as a rich self-centered playboy in a movie. Elon has children with 4 or more different women and gets about despite this so it wouldn't even affect his ability to pull. At no point would I be thinking "you know I wish Elon/Tate was more attractive in this movie it would make the character more appealing to me" because why the fuck would I? It doesn't matter. I'm not exactly trying to be sexually aroused by the character am I.
These are the same person:
The first would play a rich self centered millionaire in a movie fine the second unkempt pic would just be an implausible look for the character portrayed day to day (guy was in prison). A rich self-centred person would have a stylist who would tell him to shave his thinning hair or get implants like Elon, trim and tidy his beard, have good teeth due to good dental care/hygiene, possibly have an instructor and plenty of gym time etc. Those are plausible personality traits for the character being portrayed.
In fact if they had made Tony Stark more ugly (more unkempt) when he was held hostage in the cave it would be more appealing to me as a character for its plausability despite me not giving a hoot about how attractive he may or may not look.
Now back on the topic which I also touched on. why do you believe that the Fable character should be cast as a prettier woman? You know literally nothing about the story/character arc other than she is not very attractive. So the fuck what? I'd still play the game or watch movies with these people in it. As long as the character is plausible I couldn't care less.

Because perfect dark did have a significant showing pretending it was a game that was going to release, and so far all we've seen of fable is smash cuts of "alpha gameplay" and pre rendered "tone" trailers.

I wanted to like that game but no game with such a low level of challenge is ever gonna get big praise from me.
Fable 1 wasn't hard, but you could actually die sometimes in that game on max difficulty.
And f2 didn't had the charm of 1 for me, and charm was 90% of why i like fable.
