A new State of Play airs February 12.

Can't wait to be both upset and disappointed at no Bloodborne again.

Yeah im excited as well. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

What do you expect to see from the game if they already showed the gameplay multiple times?

Marathon could just simply an email, rather than occuping a slot of either another first party or a third party.

I've been tempted by Arc a fair few times since some of my old D2 squad plays it.

I mean, its great. Loads of fun and worth a play but its deffo found its "meta" now and so I dunno how much milage you would get out of it. Might love it, might hate what its become.

Or so ive been told, I don't think I have a right to comment after only playing like 3 rounds. I enjoyed my time with it.

Let me do (practice) some magic

- New God of War
- Stellar Blade 2
- Devil May Cry (whatever number, maybe none)
- New glimpse of the Hideo Kojima game
- A surprise remake of a beloved duo
- Egypt like we never seen it before
- Also space, space, space
- An old mascott returns
- Something ghotic and blody creeping around
- Ending with new hardware announcement

So Sony really showed that Horizon GAAS game early to ruin the State of Play then. They REALLY don't believe in that game, and this SOP shows that 100%. WOW!!!! Truly and huge shock that they themselves know this now.
They showed it early to take some pressure off the SoP. Otherwise, the entire discourse around the upcoming SoP would just be about the Horizon live service game overshadowing any interesting 1st party or 3rd party announcements (just like Concord did 2 years ago). Honestly, it's a smart move on their part, IMO.

You know what's funny? Sony knew they were having a SOP coming up and they decided to NOT include the new Horizon GaaS because they knew it would land like a dusty old queef.

I actually take this as a good sign. Concord burned Sony in a way they've never experienced before, maybe they're actually learning.

Yup, if they show 2 "big" GaaS games this SoP, the world would burst in flames. Or just the gaming forums, idk.
GaaS is in a really bad place now, like NFTs were not long ago. Better not make a fuzz about it.

Loads, new trailer, free weekend announcement, road map.

Just because your not interested in it doesn't mean others are not also.

Couldn't think of a better place to let those who are on the fence or who have never heard about it that there will be a free weekend to try it out.

Possible showcases:

1. Saros gameplay walkthrough

2. Resi 9 trailer

3. Marathon trailer with open beta

4. Devil may cry 6 announcement trailer

5. MS flight sim 2024 psvr2 trailer

6. Marvel's tokkon new characters trailer

7. FF7 part 3 announcement trailer

8. PSSR 2 release date + updated games

9. Ace combat 8 trailer( + maybe demo).

10. God of war 2.5d reveal trailer( probably arriving in August).

Also some mp/gaas/live service games sprinkled in as pee breaks.

That's also available on Sony platforms. I don't see any "winning" here. Unless you mean the overall "gamers are winning" then sure.
I mean general gaming excitement.

So yeah gamers winning i suppose.

Ms vs that nintendo abomination, ms actually showed some good stuff. So I hope sony can do something

Yeah, that's definitely a good sign.

No idea what to expect.

Wishes: Round8s(Lies of P) upcoming suvival-horror game and/or Lies of P whatever sequel/new IP, Judas release date, anything BioShock, and always something FromSoft.

But, I'm guessing none of these will show up, so will just enjoy the ride and hope for something cool atleast, hopefully for PC aswell since it's third party stuff also.

As I implied in my previous post, I personally don't think they'll show it again as it would be a bad PR move and could end up hurting the show, IMO. We'll just have to wait and see though.

Yes, because we need another Souls-like announcement in a year that's flooded with them!

/facepalm

Sony just absolutely has to know that having Mark Cerny talking about PSSR 2.0, how it works, and a release date is 500% more interesting than a GAAS game like FairGames right?

Bandai Namco came true with Patapon and Everybody's Golf. Now for Sega's Wipeout.

I doubt we will see anything from GTA 6 until the summer, third trailer, some character dedicated trailers around late September and then final pre launch trailer in November.

"Announcements from game studios across the globe"

Sony, man can you do seperate events for eastern and western studios so we can ignore western trash a little bit more easily, please? Thanks.
I second this…yes please!

I'm gonna try to be realistic for this one, we already have way too many 1st party games coming this year to have brand new announcements in a february SoP, a summer SoP or a fall one I can see having announcements for 2027. So if we do have new games I'm betting on smaller projects that are most likely developed by a 3rd party like GoW spinoff, Bandai Namco messing with Japan Studios IPs and stuff like that.

Will place my bets that the final trailer of the show will be for a big multiplatform 3rd party game that no one is expecting, like Persona 6 or something from a western dev

After all these State of Play events, I don't expect anything worthwhile anymore.

This is for the Players…

No it didn't. Namco took some games that were previously PlayStation exclusive and made them multiplatform.
The rumour was Bandai Namco were working on PlayStation IP and Sega were making Wipeout.

Even if it were only ports, that would still make it true. But you are wrong, everybody's golf hot shots is a new game not a port of an old PS exclusive.

So yes the Bandai Namco part of the rumour came true just as I said. Smh.
