Once upon a time i wanted to play this and Indy on PS5.
I already played Indy and it was fun but i have no desire to play this one.

It won't sell much i bet.

Jokes aside though:
PS5 only players will find a game that, on the surface, seems promising enough, but will find mostly disappointment when they start diving deep in. The first 10 ish hours are pretty good, and then it kinda nose dives when you realize every enemy base is the same, almost every planet is barren and empty with nothing to do, and the main quest is…not great.

Not to say there isn't some good shit here though. The factions quests are mostly pretty good, the ship building is very good, and the combat feels decent enough.

Unless that new Terran Armada DLC is good, don't drop $70 on the premium edition. The first DLC looked promising with how it was dealing with more of the weird that I wanted, but ended up being awful.

PS people. Do not give in to FOMO.

The game sucks.

I am still seething I paid £30 for it via CDKeys back at launch.

Don't do it.
I always get let down by games that supposedly turned things around like No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk etc...so i knew this one wouldn't be different.

People always mistake "it's much better than on release" with "it's still shit...it's just a better playable piece of shit".

I will wait for when they inevitably drop it in PS+
Also it is PS5 pro enhanced, but i couldnt find any specifics on their website.

Nah. Games in general would sell far more copies if they went back to $50 again.

Especially in today's economy.

If quality of the product is there gaming audience at large has shown the will bear the cost. Starfield mixed response will not allow for $70 2 year port old whereas FH5 did.

But making more money and selling more copies isn't the same thing. :)

Has it?

We see sales much faster than ever. At $50, they held their price longer before sales. Now, they're on sale more often than not within weeks or a month.

It's all about the MAU, is it not?

There's nothing to really "Turn around" with Starfield, It's an absolute slog. Boring AF. None of the characters are engaging, the story sucks and it's world building is really bad.

It's the opposite of what you'd expect it to be compared to Elder Scrolls and the like.

IF they made more money at $50 then games would sell for $50.

Horrible game.

Literally a PS3/360 game with better graphics.

That's how outdated the rest of the game is.

What a huge disappointing mess.

I still can't believe it reviewed around the 7/10 mark on average, it's a 5 maybe a 6 at best.

Cool, I'l buy it when it's under $30 if the 60fps mode is decent on Ps5.

Come on people, it's not that hard.
This is game 25 out of 4 .

My boy Phil would never lie

As much as I hate on Phil, I think he got too much have over the 4 games thing. He clearly said it was 4 games for now and that Starfield wasn't one of them. Both of which were true.

Good thing it was beta tested on Xbox to let us all know that even for $50 it really isn't worth it. Will give it a shot eventually, maybe at $20 if it includes the DLC.

It depends...imagine if you could double your game sales by going down from 80 to 50 bucks. Aren't you making more money?
You think games like Claire Obscure going viral would be possible without that pricetag?

If games have an almost impulse-buy price i think we would have quite a lot of surprises.

That said not everything would "go viral" if released by 50 bucks or sell the double that they would sell if released for 80 bucks.

I do agree with you that these companies care more about making money than selling more copies which is why i roll my eyes when someone mentions how some sequels are selling slower than their predecessors that were available for 20 bucks on every store after 1 year available vs their sequels at 40 bucks now lol.

It has an 85 average on Opencritic and deserves that score.
