Persona never had particularly strong character designs anyway. The only P5 party member that stood out to me was Makoto.

I was on board with high school until they made it weird in 5 by allowing you to date much older adults like your teacher or Takemi the doctor.
I was just weirded out when a licensed physician with years of practice came into the freakin' attic of a café where a teenage boy lives. Then before the not-so-subtle sex scenes she went "so, your guardian isn't here?"
Nah, that was just wrong and strange in a bad way. At this point, make the protagonist a young adult with their own place.
I even think they changed the consent laws in Japan that would make the Kawakami relationship straight-up illegal too, or it might have always been since she's your teacher and likely around a decade older.

My only commentary on this is I appreciate the Twin Peaks like approach of showing the illegal / grey area stuff in society that hides in plain sight.
Are they portraying inappropriate / illegal things? Yes. But do these things ACTUALLY happen in real life? Absolutely.
So I don't think things should be off limits just because it isn't legal. Just as long as they don't cross a line in their portrayal of it, which they don't.

Yeah, they won't show sex scenes, obviously. And it's not a "grey area". A 20-something teacher cannot date their underage student, even in Japan.

I focused mainly on the grey area part, my bad. I wonder how much uproar there would have been if it were an adult male teacher and a female student. Likely a lot more because of the whole Kamoshida abuse thing.
Whatever the case, I think this is the first Persona where you're allowed to date much older adults. If you're gonna do that, just remove the high school angle or make them a legal adult somehow. It would even strengthen the narrative as my suspension of disbelief (yes, even for a ridiculous power fantasy JRPG) was seriously challenged when a damn hot doctor went to the attic where a 16-year-old kid lives to have sex with him lol. That's somehow even more ridiculous than the rest of the game.

I would LOVE to get a Persona where the characters are in their 30's or 40's.
I'm more hyped for P4R than P6 at this point though. Would be very strange to get both in 2027.

Yeah, that just doesn't work at all for the MC. It's fine for the side character (ex. P3 Bebe).
