Will Nintendo ever treat us to anything like Metroid Prime Trilogy again? (add ideas)

NOA Apology Collection I: MonolithSoft Edition (Xenoblade + Disaster Day of Crises)
NOA Apology Collection II: Rainfall Edition (Last Story + Reginleiv + Pandora's Tower)
NOA Apology Collection III: In Memory of Cing Edition (Trace Memory + Trace Memory:R)

lmao man you should do comedy

A Fire Emblem collection for the 3DS (Path of Radiance+Radiant Dawn) would be nice. Nintendo could translate the SNES games and throw them in too.

This would be nice, but I think you'd have to crop the pre-rendered backgrounds to make the game 16:9. :/

Nintendo fans were spoiled back then.

MK Double Dash was amazing, Super Mario Sunshine was still the best in it's genre and Windwaker was a classic. The only game that escaped the BS criticism was Melee(deservedly so).

I started replaying it earlier this year and the game has serious camera issues. It's still a good game but I can't believe how bad the camera was at times. Makes me think Nintendo rushed it into the market out of desperation.

A Kirby collection with Super star ultra graphics for the 3DS, should include Kirby dreamland 1-3, Adventure and maybe Kirby 64 as a bonus.

The camera and the Yoshi sections are the biggest issues I have with Sunshine, but it is an amazing platformer.

Nintendo have also given us other awesome compilations besides Metroid Prime Trilogy and Super Mario All-Stars.

Zelda Collectors Disc

Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: Adventure of Link
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Demo - Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Animal Crossing (Gamecube)

Balloon Fight
Clu Clu Land
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr. Math
Excite Bike
Golf
Pinball
Tennis
Wario's Woods
Baseball
Soccer
Donkey Kong Jr.
Donkey Kong 3
Clu Clu Land D
Punch-Out!!
Mario Bros.
Ice Climber
Super Mario Bros.
The Legend of Zelda

Granted, the NES games weren't exactly handed to you on a platter, and you had to actually use an Action Replay to get some of the best ones, but they're still on there, and once you've unlocked them, they're all quickly accessible.

Unfortunately, after Nintendo realised how profitable it was to release straight ports of games with absolutely zero changes, they stopped being so generous.

Collections I'd like to see however, include:

Handheld Zelda Collection

Link's Awakening
Link to the Past/Four Swords (I know LttP is more renowned for being a SNES game, but it wasn't on the previous collection)
Oracle of Ages
Oracle of Seasons
Minish Cap

I doubt they'd include the two recent DS games, but that's not a huge loss.

Mario Party Collection

Mario Party 1
Mario Party 2
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 4
Mario Party 5
Mario Party 6
Mario Party 7
Mario Party 8

Mario Party 8 might be a Wii game, but it's discontinued, so it's not like including that would hurt sales. This collection would be a godsend at social gatherings. No need to worry about N64's, Gamecube's, or finding whichever game you want; if you have a Wii and this disc, you're golden.

NOA Apology Collection IV: How I met your Mother Edition (Mother 1+2+3)

Added another one.

So many of the games listed here will probably just end up on Virtual Console, eliminating any chance of Nintendo re-releasing them on a disc.

Serious question time .... they FIT in a dvd ?

I mean ... it includes some cube games that are like disc .. and even wii ones that are full dvds (theoricaly ... see NSMBW wich I remember someone saying that was like 200mega)

Well, there have been the Original Mario All Stars, and the Zelda Gamecube disc, so I think Nintendo will still come out with a similar product every now and then.

I second that. If they update 9 to some of the new gameplay mechanics found in 10, that would be even better or just update the battle animations to 10 would work.
I could see that happening, especially since the English Release of 10 had enchantments over the Japanese Release (I think mainly widescreen support, but still)

In their present form, yes. If they were remade, it may be a bit harder (Even then, they could likely reuse the same models for a bunch of mini-games)

Plus, it is likely the Wii U will have a Blu-Ray like discs, so that would give it 25GB.

A lot of Nintendo's games in the early GCN days were rushed out the door because of the GCN's lagging sales.

I believe they stated a conscious choice to have a less automatic camera and leave it to the player to adjust manually with the C-Stick. I play like that so it's fine.. But it's not very wide-audience friendly, and you could still camera control with the c-stick even if it had a good auto camera..

I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy only about 6 months ago, used at Gamestop. $69.99. A lot of money, but this copy was in pristine condition. In a moment of rare intelligence, the Gamestop manager had removed it from the display shelves so that it wouldn't get all banged up. I had seen it weeks earlier, but now it was gone. Just for the hell of it, I asked it they had sold it recently or maybe had another copy, and sure enough they had. The one he was protecting, for whatever reason.

It was a lot of money for a $50 game, but the collection and the packaging are so neat, I don't regret it one bit.

And personally, I'd like to see a Mario Galaxy collection when (and if) they decide to make a 3rd. Especially since I haven't picked either up for the Wii yet. (Though I've played Galaxy 1 before.)

edit: Oh, and while browsing through games the other day, I saw another copy of MPT in another store. They can still be found, though it's somewhat rare.

An idea that may prove too implausible for some, but fun to think about nonetheless:

-A commemorative CD with the most famous and beloved songs from this era is included with the package.
