That being said, the wretched temperature I endured during these showers wasn't worth it.
Doesn't the cold water stiffen up your neck and make it more difficult to go down on the girl?Oozinator said:When I go to an erotic massage place, I take a cold shower there just before the massage. It has the benefit of suppressing any premature erection and increasing the time it takes me to cum from the rub&tug, more bang for my buck.

Old story, I believe the thread got deleted. In short: took full service at massage parlour, discover jizz leaking from girl's vagina due to broke condom when I was about to go down on her to reciprocate my orgasm. Several months later I underwent STD tests and I'm clear.Chuck said:The fuck?
It got deleted? Well that's why I can't find it. That thread was great.Oozinator said:Old story, I believe the thread got deleted. is your entire shower supposed to be cold or do you just turn the water cold toward the end of your shower and it in it for a bit? Does it make a difference?

After doing the cold shower thing I can say my skin isn't as dried out, I don't sweat... like almost not at all (even nervous sweats are subdued), it gives me a short blast of energy, and I feel much more refreshed and... cleaner (a result of no post-shower sweat I imagine). Also I'm not as cold in cold weather.
The other day it was a very windy 30 and I really wanted a hot shower, but I took a cold one and felt unusually comfortable. I've always had issues with staying warm. Even in the summer at times. Maybe they were because of the hot showers.
Anyway, I don't think I'm going back (to hot), but I do sooooo crave them sometimes.

i'm not an expert but i'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that at all.As winter approaches, anyone know if taking cold showers can actually be bad for the health? I'm worried I might catch a cold or something.
This is one of the things that was putting me off trying this, because I shave in the shower, but it seems fine if you shave every day.Turned the shower to cold at the end today. Felt pretty refreshing. I have started shaving with cold water, and it's made a huge positive difference. I use a straight razor, though, so it might have something to do with that.
Not brave enough to do the ice cold shower thing, but I absolutely LOVE turning the water to scalding hot for a few seconds before I get out of the shower. I usually let it hit my back during this time, and it's such an oddly pleasant experience. Like you're creating an itch and scratching it at the same time - that's the only way I can describe it.
The heat overloads, then short circuits the histamine response. I have a horrible allergic reaction to poison ivy. When I get it, I'll turn the hair dryer on and essentially overheat the affected area until it's so hot I can't stand it. Stops the incessant itching for several hours at a time, just like clockwork. The extreme hot water is doing the same thing to your back, exacerbating the itch, then short circuiting it...
I don't understand some studies. It changes all the time.
What about a hot sauna bath? I that not healthy anymore??
There are also studies that winter/ice-hole swimming is super-healthy, so I wouldn't be surprised if cold showers are good for you too. Sure, there haven't been extensive studies, but the studies that HAVE been made have shown a clear distinction between people who do it and people who don't do it.Well, the problem with a study that states something like cold showers are good for the immune system is that it:
1. Is only one study.
2. Its hard, like really hard, to be sure that nothing else is affecting the result.
3. Because of the point above, its hard to replicate in a useful way.
Reliability and validity is extremely low and only popular health magazines would even think about printing it. It should really just be ignored.
That said, I just might try it to wake up in the morning..
