They were probably trying to figure it out during or after that. They may have been attempting to get Walmart/Target/etc to buy shipments and they just weren't going for it, and maybe Gamestop was all 'sup, we'll sell it".

No, GameStop are currently offering free value shipping . It may be a temporary promotion, though. I dunno.
Probably a Gamestop moneyhat. Amazon used to sell DLC codes for game content until Gamestop moneyhatted Microsoft to be the exclusive seller of them.

VC sold a whopping 33k it's first NPD. The game bombed until it hit bargain bins, where word of mouth carried it to respectable sales at $20 a pop (north of 200k according to Kagari).
We never got NPD figures for WKC, but going by shipments (1m for the entire series worldwide as of April 2011, and Japanase sellthrough alone is close to 700k) it megabombed. Probably under 100k, which is probably why SCEA passed on WKC2.
So, SCEA never released WKC2?

I tried... too much talking, too many NPCs. I like my games straight gameplay, I don't mind a few NPCs with one-liners, but I prefer the old Dragon Warrior, FF games up to VII(it was the beginning of RPG fluff though - too much story), I like DQVIII, and a few others.
Xenoblade is Skyrim for JRPG fans.

Yeah, Rufus Jones did a perfect job as Dundan. Dignified and cool but also slightly cheeky. A great casting if you ask me.

They aren't redubbing it. The debut trailer still has the British dub.
Dunban never says that.
Doesn't mean anything. The first PAL trailer still had the Japanese dub. Using place holder voice acting in debut trailers is pretty much standard practice for Nintendo.
That being said, given that retailer exclusivity is a sign of a low initial shipment and sales expectations, I doubt NoA would needlessly drive up the costs with a pricey NA dub.
