Zipper makes the ugliest games ever. They have no artists at all.
Ugh.... SONY should close "Zipper Interactive" and aquire "Ready at Dawn Studio" ;-/
(Zipper's games were and are always ugly as shit)

It's 640MB total (512MB + 128MB VRAM).
I actually wouldn't be too surprised if up to 256MB was used by the OS. But I'm not sure those shinobido screens are enlightening wrt that, they have some contradictory numbers between different shots etc.
surely there is no way they use half the main memory for the OS? that just seems overkill?
Why does there have to be a megathread? Everytime I stumble on here there's new games/media I never knew about
What happened to new news new thread??

I hope you have jobs for these guys if your wish comes true.
I own two PSPs. Neither came with a memory card. I'm pretty sure it was the same with both my PS2s.
My launch day psp came with a 32meg card.
that was the $300 bundle pack. I got one of those as well. Core system only was $249.
Sony never offered a "core system" at launch. Just the bundle at $249.
I think Sony does "starter pack" things where you get ear phones, a tiny memory card (4GB yo), a pouch, and a screen wipe. Or at least I think they did on PSP.
My memory isn't perfect, but didn't some N64 games require the external memory "pak" to save?Is there any precedent for companies selling memcards/other required peripherals?
I seem to remember the Mempak being sold separately in Japan for the N64 but included in America, as well as the expansion pak for certain games being unbundled in Japan but bundled in the US/overseas.
Do you think Sony feels that Japanese customers might be more accepting of buying the memcard separately, whereas in other territories they will ship them together?
A Controller Pak was initially useful or even necessary for the earlier N64 games. Over time, the Controller Pak lost ground to the convenience of a battery backed SRAM (or EEPROM) found in some cartridges. Because the Nintendo 64 used a game cartridge format that allows saving data on the cartridges themselves, few first party and second party games used the Controller Pak.[4] The vast majority were from third-party developers, likely because of cost expenses: including self-contained data on the cartridge would have increased production and retail costs. Some games used it to save optional data that was too large for the cartridge, such as Mario Kart 64, which used 121 pages for storing ghost data.[5] Another game is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which uses 11 pages.[6] Quest 64 and Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon used the Controller Pak exclusively for saved data. The Japan-only game Animal Forest used the Controller Pak to travel to other towns.
Erm that's not true. There was the normal version and the Value Pack, that came with the memory card, the case and the headphones.
*edit* Oh, and the wrist strap
Nah, this was the launch bundle.
Ah, Takao, you changed you avy. What inside the present?
Memory sticks?
Seems that only happened in the US.
"Value Pack bundle will be the only SKU available to American consumers"

Use your brain man 256 of ram will not be used for os. Some dumb things are said on here and that's one of them.

Dynasty Warriors Next
Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Lego Harry Potter: Years 57

Canada had some bundle with Gretzky NHL at launch. I know that because it's the one I own, lol.
I've never purchased a Gameloft rip off title, but I'll probably get this for the Vita. Watching it makes me wish that Runic would port Torchlight 2 to Vita. That would be fucking awesome.my apologies if posted. Its in Japanese by the way

I respectfully disagree. The fuck is this? MAG is the best MP game on the PS3.
The PSP didn't require the memory stick to play the games though.I own two PSPs. Neither came with a memory card. I'm pretty sure it was the same with both my PS2s.
Some did. I was really surprised when I tried to play Killzone: Liberation on my brand new machine and it didn't let me. The clerk in the store I bought it from never mentioned anything about a memory card. The PSP didn't require the memory stick to play the games though.
Wipeout and Uncharted are must for me.I'll choose 2-3 (depending of the price) between:
- Uncharted
- Wipeout
- Shinobido 2
- Touch my Katamari (if it's playable with the analogs)
- Gravity Rush
And some others will fall as soon as they get a sale.
All in all, I don't think getting a memcard will be a big deal for most consumers. I still think they should, however.

It's starting to look like Simple Mode. Not a bad idea for really casual play.Kotaku released a video of UMvC3 with touch screen controls.

I think the developer specifically stated that there are no gyro-controls in Novita, only twin sticks and touch screens (flicks). The gyro-control is just an alternative way of controlling the game.

Seriously? I had no idea. I guess I'll stop talking out of my ass then. Some did. I was really surprised when I tried to play Killzone: Liberation on my brand new machine and it didn't let me. The clerk in the store I bought it from never mentioned anything about a memory card.

Seth Killian hinted at cross-play with PS3 announcement in a few days... I hope it happens.
