Soo... Don't know if this was discussed yet but there is a PS[P] Vita out in the wild, somewhere in a cab. Thanks to deadmau5, after the VGA event I would presume?

At around what hour did you get there? At around 12, the longest I had to wait was 2 minutes.I got there pretty late but there weren't that many people there so I could play anything without waiting too long.
About 4pm. Yeah, it was quite a different experience to TGS. :3At around what hour did you get there? At around 12, the longest I had to wait was 2 minutes.
Wondering since I might be in Japan after the launch...will this be impossible to pick up at a store without having an early preorder? Plus, will the exchange rate really bite me in the ass, or would it be cheaper than importing from play asia or wherever?
Sony Ninjas vs. Geohackers!
The costs of importing is too much for hackers. That's why everything costs the way it does; another security measure! It comes out in less than a week.
I'm assuming that no Japanese Vita will be able to access the US PSN store until the US launch, but does anyone think it might be able to if it's just pulling up the same store that's up now?
And I guess the biggest difference I'd have to deal with is the reversed cancel/select buttons? Or an I forgetting something...
Crapcon scams:
According to an Iwata asks for Monster Hunter Tri G, Capcom had already decided on production in December 2010 to make Tri G on 3DS. This was weeks after Sony basically did everything they could to make Portable 3rd a success on PSP (including releasing a very cool MH-only PSP revision), and weeks before Capcom would go on stage at the PlayStation Meeting of 2011 alongside a then called "NGP" to showcase Portable 3rd running with two analog sticks.
Sony needs to take a page out of Raiden's book, and make their own Revengeance.
That's Capcom for you, ladies and gentlemen.....
You should blame Sony for not developing a big budget MH-clone game for PSP.
Capcom is an external company and they can do whatever they want with MH.

Well, give them some time, even Monster Hunter 3G for 3DS manual uses Sony buttons.

Even if this does happen (MH on Vita), it's too little too late. It would've only made a difference had the Vita MH game actually come out prior to the 3DS ones, but as a 3DS one is a already out in Japan, and a Vita one is still MIA ...
Actually, if I were Sony I'd be tossing money at Sega or Bandai to make Phantasy Star Portable or Gods Eater into better looking / better playing Vita showpieces.
But of course you run into jumping ship problem that Sony's had with Capcom. Why should Sony invest in a third party franchise when the two times they've done that on PSP, they've been burned (MH, and MGS: PW).

"true next gen MH clone and hype it to the moon like the new big shit.
Phantasy Star Online 2 on Vita would be pant-tighteningly good
I'm still wondering what "Phantasy Star Victory" is. I don't think I'm ready for the havoc PSO2 in portable form would wreak on my personal life.Phantasy Star Online 2 on Vita would be pant-tighteningly good
Does anyone know if a 3G Vita purchased in Japan would work in say, the UK, if I took it there and got a UK sim card?

It's the Resident Evil fiasco all over again. Establish a new IP on a SONY system, then switch to a different system (Nintendo) and say "FUCK YOU" to all the PlayStation fans, which made this IP big.It kind of reminds me of the Sony-Nintendo situation with "Play Station" for SNES back in the day, but that was a massive back stab given the timeframe of when those things happened.
Yep, Polyphony Digital does.Does SCEJ develop anything that is "big budget" anymore?
Then its sales outside PS dissapoints them (Code Veronica in DC, RE4 or RE0, RE-make in GC, Chronicles games in Wii) and went back to make money in PS platforms (RE4, RECVC, Chronicles HD). Then they announce RE portable for PSP.It's the Resident Evil fiasco all over again. That said, I do agree it's a failing of SCE's management to not continue their old PlayStation mantra of having their own variant of every popular genre. I suppose they thought Capcom was going to stay with that too...
Gravity Days - bad things first - during the game there are jaggies on characters although it's not that bad. Other than that the game looks, feels and plays great. Yes, you can use buttons in conversations (although we already knew that from the dev walkthrough). And for all those wondering, you don't have to use the gyroscope to aim while levitating, the right stick works as well. To be honest, it's sometimes easier to use that than to tilt Vita, if you need to make a 180 degree turn or something. Also, the end of the boss fight, when after flicking my finger over the touchscreen the heroine did some badass attack blew me away. Will buy this day 1.
I actually wrote "Days", didn't I? Must've really been tired when I came back.I'm pretty interested in Gravity Daze. It's nice to see a new IP from Sony that looks promising and isn't distinctively western in flavor. Most of my favorite games still come from Japan so Im hoping this one turns out as good as it looks.

Anyway, GD was definitely the best Vita game I played yesterday and if they don't mess anything up, I guess it'll become the real system seller. Hope it's not short.
Yeah, the system itself felt pretty solid and well made. Given the quality of the first wave of titles, I'm really curious how the later ones will look like, as the system itself has great potential. It's worth it's price, at least for me.This is what I'm worried about. But other than all the impression you gave, what did you think about the build quality of the system. Does it feel like it's worth $250?

So quick question.
If I purchase a physical copy of a Vita title, can I transfer/download that title onto a memory card in order to carry around multiple titles digitally without carrying around the original cards that each respective game is on?
Damn it, Kaz.
Think about what you just asked realistically. How would you think that was a possibility?
Everything is going to be on the store from the start. Why not buy it digitally?
They really shouldn't have, it's not the first time SCE's been burned, by Capcom with a Monster Hunter 3 exclusive going to Nintendo.
SCEJ needed to start buying some developers the day FFXIII went multi-platform, even if losing MH3 to the Wii wasn't enough (or DMC4, or...). Fool SCE three or four times, shame on the publishers, after that, SCE... uh, is still getting fooled. Again.
SCEJ are just too retarded to do anything nowadays. It's been a long time since wkc2 got releaseed. You'd think by now that Sony has 1-2 jrpgs planned, but noooooo. Now with Gust being milked by Koei Tecmo and Ueda leaving, they really are in deep shit.
Here's hoping Gravity Daze does well, but I wouldn't count on it due to SCEJ's incompetence.
