Patrick and Ryan are completely wrong when it comes to the stereo mixes of the Beatles music. They didn't "record mono songs" and just put them in stereo or whatever the hell Patrick said. The recorded masters that they then mixed them into either stereo or mono by the people at EMI. The Beatles themselves didn't even get totally involved in the mixing until Rubber Soul, their sixth album. EMI did pay more care to the mono mixes, sure, but to say that the early Beatles stuff in mono is "awful" is utter nonsense and completely incorrect. It wasn't even like all of the singles and albums were better in mono until Abbey Road where they only mixed in stereo. Help! sounds considerable worse in mono, and Sgt. Pepper sounds just as fantastic in stereo even though George Martin himself will tell you Pepper in mono is superior. Also, the White Album is totally better in stereo than it is in mono.

I guess this is just another example of them ignorantly talking about something and me getting overly annoyed. Whatever, they won't even read this.
