NHL December |OT| The Team You Cheer For is Not Good Compared To Our Team

Different rosters, but I wouldn't say at any point you guys have had the players necessary. One or two good PK forwards won't cut it. And didn't Wilson bring in Cronin to lead the PK this season?

True, but I think we have (or have had) good enough players to at least escape the basement. Goaltending probably has a lot to do with it though, and while Reimer is a great even strength goalie, he's done nothing to help the PK this season especially.

Cronin was brought in, yeah, but the Pk looks very similar to me. I'm not sure if that's me just being unable to see the subtle differences, or Wilson enforcing a specific system and letting Cronin tweak it or whatever. Regardless of the reason, I just hope it starts to improve soon.

Hansen now with 10 goals, 7 assists on the season while averaging under 15 min a game. And people wondered why we were excited when he signed for 3 seasons at 1.35m per. Not to mention his awesome defensive abilities.

Burrows had a terrific game last night. Also, missed this last night: Ron MacLean's 'Apology' to Alex Burrows, though he can't help but make it about Vancouver and not just some Canucks fans observing his hate hard-on for Burrows.

I don't think anyone here has shown the power to make him do anything.

hey he offered to take a ban after 15/16, we had a window.

OVERRATED

(we can't give you anything today, sorry.)

The surprising thing about Hansen is he seems to have developed hands out of nowhere. He's always put himself in good positions to score, but has never been able to finish consistently, which is changing this year. He's reminding me a LOT of when Burrows started scoring goals. They play a similar style of game (skate hard, finish your checks, be responsible defensively) and it appears as if Hansen is developing a scoring touch the same way Burrows did.

It's always great to see guys who have built their careers on hard work start to get rewarded for that hard work. It would be HUGE for the Canucks if Hansen can keep up his scoring. Along with Hodgson, the Canucks (when healthy) should have 3 lines that can score.

Kind of a wishy-washy response from Maclean. Sounded like somebody with his tail between his legs.

You're matching him retard for retard, so far as I see.

I can't help it.

Of course, we are all just brainless morons in your hallowed and vaulted presence. Can I shine your shoes for you, sir? How about a beverage? I promise I will try not to spill anything in your lap.

So Ben Scrivens is the only Leafs goaltender with a sv% above .900. You guys blew your load over 'Monster', then it was on to 'Optimus Reim' - can we pave the way for the era of Scurvy?

Just saying when you guys try and take down Tabris, you match his hyperbole in the opposite extreme.

And a cold beer would be nice.

Basically though, I think all the fans here wish him well and are thankful that we got to see him one last time. There are always going to be extremists though, as you've seen, Dastardly.

Yeah, a combination of the loss, seeing his disappointment and then drunkenly wandering HFboards, Twitter and Puck Daddy was a bad idea. A few bad eggs don't spoil the bunch. Overall Winnipeg fans were terrific and it was a pleasure to see the majority of them give him the reception he deserves.

Let the record sit in Phoenix. It's pretty cynical to dismiss the emotion because of some technicalities of statistics and to who they belong.

Absolutely wrong to do that, just call it saltiness and pardon me.

After seeing Tabris get it from all sides I imagine that if we were all at a sex party he'd be the guy in the middle of a big circle of naked men with cum dripping off of him while we're all clapping and high fiving.

i was just imagining that too

10 best/most skilled forwards in the league, in no particular order IMO:

Crosby
Datsyuk
Stamkos
Ovechkin
Backstrom
Zetterberg
Toews
Kane
Malkin
D. Sedin
H. Sedin

Hell, I'd probably knock out the Sedins and put in Claude Giroux and Corey Perry or Getzlaf.
No offense, but it's hard to take you railing against Tabris seriously when you suggest that the Sedins aren't top 10 forwards in this league. There's just absolutely no question.

+/- is a brilliant stat.

Sedins are the best players in the league. They have also out-scored everyone in the playoffs in the last two years combined.

I usually leave you alone man, but come on this is just fucking stupid.
Your hyperbole is so fucking nauseating. I'm out.
Kind of ironic.

Still out of all this you have to like the Tabris image and the circle of men. I could see you turn towards me, wink and slap my ass as we laugh it up. LOL

No one here including myself has claimed him to be the second coming, we just believe in around 2 years, maybe sooner with Martin gone he'll will be able to develop his offensive side and become an effective two way centerman, compared to the trolling people do to him claiming he won't be more then 4th line talent, or isn't NHL material. Nice try with the hyperbole though.

No hearing for Cole, I'm surprised but happy, it wasn't intentional and we need him right now.
