Too many years of drinking and chasing the wrong skirt with Forza
No. Forza used to be straight.
I have a feeling Cammy will be dealt soon.
Cammy + 2nd rounder for Eric Staal

Had a weird dream last night. Was at the hockey rink watching a practice, and who should show up beside me in the stands but Sidney Crosby. He's eating a bag of cheesies and offers me one, I shyly accept and i'm thinking "how fucking cool is this, Sid just offered me a snack!" I nervously start to ask him how things are going and he tells me it's ok but he seems a bit down. I try to comfort him, put my arm around his shoulder and tell him to hang in there, it'll get better. He looks up at me, gives a small grin and says thanks. Then he says we should go and grab a coffee together sometime, hang out and play some gettoni, which is weird that he would use the italian word for fusball but whatever it was my dream.
I have no idea what the fuck, I guess the Sid injury has been on my mind alot lately and it all came out in a dream.
I'm thinking more like Cammy for a mid to late 1st rounder.
Mind you, Im in the shrinking-by-the-day minority that doesn't want Cammy traded. He has been awful this year, no doubt. But he still has one of the best releases in the game and we all know what he can do in the playoffs. Personally Id like to keep him for the remainder of the season (and hopefully playoffs), and then trade him in the offseason if he doesn't turn it around. I don't think he's done as a player like Gomez is, but he may be done in Montreal, as he mentally seems to have checked out.
I'll be curious to see how he performs after 10 games with Cunneyworth. It seems to me that Cunney is going to hold his vets a lot more accountable than Martin did, which can only help. We already saw this on Saturday when Cammy had 0 PK sifts.
Cammaleri has two more years on a $6M cap hit. He scored 19 last year and is on pace for worse this year. If you get a 1st rounder for that, it's a fleecing for the ages.
Its a matter of selling "Mike Cammalleri - Playoff Hero (TM)" not "Mike Cammalleri - Regular Season Bum And Potential Team-Quitter"
We just fleeced Carolina for Kaberle, so anything's possible.

Serious question for Habs fans. I know you guys loved Muller and want him as coach but how would that work? There's already a controversy brewing over Cunnyworth speaking no French and he's only been named interim coach. Isn't Muller all English too?
Yes, but Muller knows some French and won a Cup here. Being a winner > speaking the langauge.

Are Habs fans actually upset about this though?

I don't understand why that would matter.
You're joking right? They're already bitching about Cunnyworth.
Mario Tremblay 2.0
I don't live in Montreal and I'm not going to take a few fluff pieces seriously?
Roy was my favorite player grwoing up, but I don't think I want him involved in the Habs organization. I think it would end badly.
Here's a list of the previous Montreal coaches:
Martin
Gainey
Carbonneau
Julien
Therrien
Vigneault
Tremblay
Demers
Burns
Perron
Lemaire
Find one that can't speak french.
Ok. I'm bilingual so I don't really care but let me try to explain it to you. Let's say you had a baseball team where every player speaks spanish but two of them, who speak english. Would you be ok with a spanish-only coach who you can't understand in interviews? Won't you find it weird that the coach of your favorite team can't speak your own language?
This is kinda, to some extent, the situation we have. Add to this the fact that most of our players used to speak the language, the fact that most coaches who speak french are succesful in this league so the need for an english one isnt really justified, and the language history in Quebec which is highly complex and controversial, and you might understand.
OR, like the speaker of the Universal Language of All-Time, you might lack the insight to judge this situation. Weirdly, every French speaking person whether they want a French coach or not at least understands the problem. Weirdly, most English speakers don't understand it. Isn't it WEIRD?
P.S. All I'm sayin is, if you don't understand it, try to respect it. Maybe your frame of reference is wrong, here.
I'll answer it for you then, they all were bilingual. That alone should answer your question.Sanjuro Tsubaki said:Can you give me their phone numbers at least? Also, it's going to be tough to ask Pat Burns.

That's YOUR vision of the job. Unfortunately, that's not "most people"'s view of the job. Which makes it an incomplete definition of the job.No, because the coach's job is the coach, not to appease the fanbase by giving interviews in the local tongue. Its an issue made even more silly in Montreal where most people can and do speak english. Quebec City, this is not.
