There's no "change" until guys like Ziggler are properly pushed; changing isn't putting a mid-card title on a guy whose merch is selling great because of his Internet work, or getting a possible one, two, or three week World Title reign for Bryan.

Also, I don't stand behind wanting Bryan to be a heel. One sole reason. WWE's current heels are cowardly, and that would be brainless to do that. He's a great technician. Guys like Bret, Perfect, Angle, and Benoit were all heels in some time or another, but neither were the same in their performances. Owen was another. Cowardly, but got the job done and wasn't booked to look like a weakling. Today's stuff for heels is just so dang generic and tiresome.

They're also the demo that buys the majority of the merch, meaning D-Bry's days as champ are numbered because RKO outta nowhere is coming.
Explains why Mark Henry was World Champion for so many months?

But I seriously am wondering how long they'll keep the title on Bryan. A Bryan-Sheamus, Bryan-Rhodes, or Bryan-Ziggler feud for the title would be outstanding; chances of getting that: doubtful.

cmpunk and a nerd as champions

if that doesnt earn you the wwe title then i dont know what will

D bryan better step his game up with the title.

I expect this to be a short reign but if he can start getting a better crowd reaction now and be seen as a main eventer then I expect it wont be the last.

Would be cool if he held it till mania but I guess him in a title match at WM is off the cards now.

You're so silly Lunchbox!!

I will be more than happy to watch WWE RAW tonight. I will be more than happy to tell my brother (who hasn't watched WWE for years) to tune in. Professional Wrestling ... is hopefully back.

I just hope he doesn't get Swaggered during his title reign.

Brotista being Brotista:

Former WWE superstar Batista tweeted the following about Daniel Bryan’s World Heavyweight title win on Sunday night:

“excuse me! did i hear that right? Daniel Bryan World Heavyweight Champ. ummmmmmm…..ok.”

After Batista’s tweet set off a firestorm of responses from people calling him a hater for apparently not sounding pleased with WWE’s decision to put the World title on Bryan, he replied:

“man did that comment bring the tough guy haters out. well i’m at Gracie Fighter Tampa daily. 6333 s. dale mabry hwy Tampa FL. stop on by”

Shortly thereafter, Batista followed up with the following statement, explaining his relationship with Daniel Bryan and why tweets from haters mean nothing to him:

“so to clear up any misunderstanding about me hating on Daniel Bryan…actually i’ve been a supporter of his for years, unlike most of you Johnny come lately smart mark supporters. we actually had a hell of a match together that was originally supposed to be a squash match until this old broken down ex bodybuilder who never deserved to be champion and only had it handed to me because HHH was my boy…refused to job the kid out because i knew how good he was and wanted to have a f*cking match with him before i left the company. and a hell of a match we had considering where our respective places in the company were at the time. so yes im aware of all of his accomplishments and hard work through out the years and i’m thrilled to death for him….but still…World Heavyweight champ???ummmmmmm…ok. opinions are like *ssholes. my Twitter account,my opinion. and to all the b*tch ass haters who just dogged me out and b*tched about how horrible i was…..i’ve worked with HHH, the Undertaker,Rey Mysterio,Randy Orton Stone Cold,Edge,John Cena,Chris Benoit,Ric F*cking Flair!!etc.etc.. and they all respected me and my work. Eddie Guerrero respected my work. so don’t expect your little bullsh*t remarks to actually carry any weight. in your b*tch ass faces!! “

They're both clowns, and Cole's an asshole. I really believe that some combination of JR/Matthews/Styles/Booker would make the show at least 50% more enjoyable. How people can say Cole no longer phases them is beyond me. It's like watching a program where an annoying ass noise is in your ear the entire time. They don't call moves, they don't push storylines, they don't bring up history, they don't build wrestlers, they don't get excited, they don't know when to shut up to let a moment happen, they don't know how to react properly to any moments, Cole isn't even a heel commentator but just a troll, etc. etc. It's to the point where I make it like 10 minutes, and mute the rest of the program, or just listen to music while watching. Terrible, terrible way to present your product.

100% on point with this post. I don't know how many times I caught myself yelling at the tv last night because of how shitty the commentary was. I used to dig King back in the day when he was with J.R. but his tired ass has lost it at this point. I enjoyed the actual match between Ziggler/Ryder but the commentary was beyond rubbish the entire time. I do my best to tune out how awful the commentary is... but when I'm dropping $ on a PPV I'd like to hear the action being called.

I may be alone in this, but I don't feel as if Daniel Bryan's current persona will make him into a believable champion. He's pretty awkward on the microphone: he's skittish and he awkwardly smiles way too much while delivering lines. I'm sure I can get linked to several YouTube videos of his stellar indy work, but I'm basing this on his WWE persona.

Then again, the way he won the title was unbelievable. I'm just happy that even though he may lose the title, he'll still be in the main event scene for awhile. I think that's what people should look for in the long run, not the fact that Daniel has the belt.

Edit: Well he'll be there barring anything insane happening backstage, which we can't predict.

The last couple times D-Bry's been on the mic he's been awesome. They were the promos on the Cole a week or two ago... very strong, passionate, good promos.

Actually, I'll give him that. He's usually on the top of his game regarding his little feud with Cole. I guess I just didn't think much of it because Cole's just a commentator.

I wonder how they're going to deal with Bryan winning. Henry's out of the picture due to his groin injury, so does that mean Big Show's going to fill the heel role? I don't think Bryan will be the one to pose as a heel after the reaction he got.

I am glad a lot of you enjoyed the PPV.

Maffew is going to have a field day with the Kelly Beth match. I heard Beth call the entire match. Did everyone catch this?

I have never seen HHH that out of shape. Its hard when you get older, and don't have the time anymore. Also I think He said something along the lines of I love you, your fired to Nash at the end of the match. Anyone else?

Ziggler, has become my #2 favorite wrestler right now. I mean the guy is gold!!!!!!!

The PPV was very enjoyable. Some excellent action, and the triple threat match was different which was good.

Ricardo's bump was legendary. The commentary is at an all time low. Booker still has it.

I did not catch that. Trips had a Wendy's Belly almost. I'll never forget that reveal :D

"Time? Time? How much time?"

Yes he did but WWE botched and didn't have the mic on.

It was blatant. You could hear her clearly asking the ref for time, like she was intentionally saying it into a mic. I still wonder why they have the ring mics up so damn much during a match.

I didn't hear about the Orton-Barrett match. Was it close or essentially a squash, aka Cena-Barrett last year?

It was even, but dull, with a standard RKO finish.

Didn't do much for either man, it felt like a filler feud.

Barrett needs to move into the WHC scene now. A Bryan/Barrett feud for the title would be sweet.

Man I can't stop watching this. The way he spins himself up off the mat with his shoulders and head is beautiful.

I feel like it needs a "KO" or something when they hit the mat. It's like when you beat somebody in Street Fighter.

If you can find it, the last time Edge speared Dolph was the best sell I've seen of that move. He makes simple moves look like they could kill someone without going into Flair territory.

Shit.. now we need Flair/Ziggler.
Not really.

Ziggler/Michaels.

With a run in by Austin.

What are the odds of Cena preaching about respecting the opinions of the "WWE Universe" and having him awkwardly pandering the crowd to cheer him tonight?

Given that he wasn't on the card last night, you know we're gonna get nonstop Cena tonight on RAW.

God, it's scary how bright everything looks right now. I'm actually happy and optimistic about the state of the WWE. Not even Heavy could piss me off right now. Hell, right now I'd be more likely to high five Heavy than tell him to shut up or something. :D
