Princess Tutu 9

I found the "heart shard an episode" format a little annoying at the beginning of the show, but it really is developing now. Characters developing and conflicting with each other.

AND BALLET BATTLES, Heart shards won't be so easy now Duck.

Also, I'm going to format my iPod and replace it all with classical, the most epic genre.

Although this is a vague description, I'm really loving it. Sometimes the dialogue can seem simple, but I think that's what keeps the plot light on its feet, moving and swirling.

Princess Tutu 13

What an amazing battle, such emotion ;__;

I have no idea what is going to happen next, I'm only half-way through and I've already reached the first conclusion.

Squid Girl 11

First: Okay episode. Sanae is still awesome

Second: THE SQUID OF FATE IS TURNING. REBEL ONE! FIGHT

Third: The depths of Chizuru are beyond the understanding of mortal man. Also the ending owned.

Ika Musume S2 11:

Oh Sanae, you're never gonna get any from Ika Musume, but you're attempts are hilarious and so misguided. XD

Also, Ika Musume with
short tentacles
= HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!

The last segment with Chizuru was excellent! XD

People who skip Endless Eight are weak.

Give me credit I watched 4 or 5 replays before I realised I was going to get trolled, for another 3.

Ika Musume - 11

Got to give Sanae an A for effort.

Fight of the century, right there. Short tentacled Squid Girl was so :cajun

Oh squid girl, you got too familiar with Chizuru too fast.

The truth is like a dagger to my heart.

Well, crushing hopes and dreams is kind of duckroll's thing. So I'd say it's a job well done.

Any opinions on Real Drive?

I hear it has some full figured women, which is always a plus.

I can confirm the full figured women bit. However, they don't make the show any less of a bore to sit through I'm afraid.

Utena - 30

Holy fuck, everyone is getting NTR'd, everyone.

You're going to love the next few episodes.

If you're gonna skip, watch the first, fifth, and last one.

This is what I did and considering my sanity was left mostly intact I'd say it worked.

Haruhi S2 4-5

Surely they could at-least mix it up a bit more if they're gonna pull off this kinda shit. Saying that, I'm gonna suffer the shit outta this. Kyon-kun denwa
please don't tell me that all Haruhi wants to do is throw around crappy little disposable planes

Idolmaster 21

This was a nice classy episode. Loved the restaurant scene.

Fate/Zero 11

Rider is so boss. Seeing him verbally bitch slap Saber was so satisfying. Every episode should have him giving a badass speech about being a king.

LoGH Gaiden: 100 Billion etc. 19

This episode contains two dialogues, between Luneberg and Ovlessor, and between Kircheis and Grimmelshausen, that encapsulate what makes this series so great. In each, there is a clash of personalities, of ways of looking at the world, that is brought out through their physical behavior, their speech mannerisms and tone, as well as what they say and think. Even with little screen time, characters are made memorable and their relationship with society is brought forth - the old man nearing the end of a comfortable life who looks on with jealousy at the flames of talent burning in the young, the burly, overpowering man who trusts only in his own strength and refuses to play the games of the more subtle creatures around him. Wars and revolutions are fought not only on the battlefield, but also over a quiet living room table.

So for the weekly K-On movie update, the K-On movie came in 5th this week just above Real Steel but below Kamen Rider.

It has now grossed 840 million yen for the 3 weeks. Most people expect it to overcome the 1 billion yen barrier for big hits.

840 million JPY = $10.7 million USD

I don't know how much your average movie grosses in Japan, or specifically anime movies. But it's clear that Japan ain't Hollywood from that number alone. I wonder what the production budget for the K-ON movie was.

The biggest grossing movie ever was Spirited Away at 30 billion yen. Titanic is 2nd at 27 billion and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at 20 billion.

So I just started Fate/Zero
and theres a scene where two people are circling around this man for what seemed like 10 minutes
Is there much action in this show?

My avatar is from the next eroge to be released that is going to be marketed incessantly and whored into ecchi anime and merchandise.

AKA Koihime Musou in Nippon.

Mirai Nikki 11:

2 chapters of manga condensed into one episode again. All the important points were hit regarding the story. It's interesting that they went for a comedic angle during the sequence with the ladder across the gap, playing it for laughs wasn't quite how I imagined it as it's more or less played straight in the manga. They are starting to be a little more loose with the interpretation of the story, if not the literal events that occur. We saw that during last episode during Minene's sudden tsundere turn (yes, a famous terrorist can be moe!) and again here when Minene and Yukki do a bit of a comedy routine on the ladder.

Anyways, they got the story development chapter out of the way quickly, now there's gonna be all kinds of crazy shit happening in episode 12.

It never ceases to amuse me how much is actually spoiled by the OP and ED, but what is genius about them is that you don't know it's a spoiler until you've gotten past that point in the story. Once you pass the point, then you're like OMG WAT because the OP and ED was spoiling it for you the whole time but you didn't even realize it. Don't ever start paying too close attention to the OP and ED for this reason, especially since the most critical plot point of the entire story is spoiled in the OP and you don't even know it yet but you could easily figure it out if you think too hard about it.

For those who have finished the manga and are curious what I'm talking about (DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE):
At the end of the OP, it's made pretty obvious there were 2 Yunos and one killed the other one.

So I just started Fate/Zero

Is there much action in this show?

The first episode is awful. Its not really representative of the rest of the show(Well 10 was pretty bad too).

Maps OVA 1 AKA: Screw collateral damage

I decided to watch this show because of....I don't really know why. Maybe I thought it looked pretty, who knows.

Right off the bat, this show takes less than 5 minutes to
introduce the alien character, bizarre mission to save the world by a regular joe, and destroy an entire city (Tokyo) for no parent reason.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, just makes for a poorly executed introduction, plot, characters, etc... WTF is a mapman anyway?

mapsxe0xt.jpg

Madoka levels of BS

They could have put some effort into plot and character development instead of a 3 min montage of scenic views. The action sequences were nicely done, by this I mean the one maybe two that were in there. Who doesn't like seeing two scantily clad alien women going at it? No one, that's who.

The episode gets a pass due to the incredibly stupid space ships (Hood Ornaments) that are somehow connected to the pilots to the point that they are injured if when their ships are damaged (Fucking stupid design)

Also, just listen to that amazing OP with the phil collins (~esque) drum sound.

What an amazing battle, such emotion ;__;

I have no idea what is going to happen next, I'm only half-way through and I've already reached the first conclusion.

I stopped at 13 for over a year because I thought it was a great ending and didn't want it ruined.

There was nothing to worry about. It just kept getting better.

Fate/Zero is a good example of a show telling the audience "This is how we roll and you're going to fucking like it goddammit" with a completely straight face within the first ten minutes.

It throws all of it at you to make sure you know what you're going to get later.

You say that but there hasn't been an episode as bad as 1 since.

I'm on episode... 4? I think of Fate/Zero.
Saber and Lancer are fighting then Rider randomly jumps in on the action and man i dont know if this is even spoiler worthy but whatevs
The first episode was a bit of a drag until the end but it picked up since then. I don't remember much from the original series (man it's been years since i've watched the first few episodes of that) but I'm enjoying this so far.

Can't say it's my favorite show of this year (yet) but i'll keep watching it. :)
