I looked up the japanese name for that show I posted and it is Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru which I was interested in watching. Listed below it in the "other similar products" section is Akikan, and below that it looks like god Only Knows is finally being released so yeah, time to buy again. Goddamnit I want to buy everything!

I got the Bluray set from my aunt this summer so I should probably get on that as well.

Sadly, while Firefly's live action sequences were shot on film and are in HD on the Blu-rays, the CG animation was all done in SD and looks like shit on the Blu-rays. This was commonly done to save money on TV shows during the SDTV era.

The movie Serenity, while not nearly as good as the show was, is fully in HD since it was made for theatrical exhibition. It looks very nice on Blu-ray too.

Seriously though, I'm open to (non joke) suggestions for new anime to get.

Family releases a fox spirit that was sealed up long ago by their family in order to protect the only two living heirs to the family from demons. What makes the show different is that despite every piece of marketing for the show, it ends up being exactly what it says it is. A show about a fox spirit protecting two brothers. It's not a romantic comedy, there's no love triangles (except in the head of the shows only love interest). It sticks to the fantasy. It's not the pinnacle of anime, but it's an enjoyable ride.

I have this. Its a good show. Nobody EVER talks about it though.

NIS America sells it as "Our home's Fox Deity"

Toriko 38

Hah, looks like Toriko getting his arm back won't be a simple fix. That's good. Of course there's no way it will actually be 20 years. Probably some kind of workaround, but it's still cool that it's actually going to take some effort.

Also, that talk Coco had with the guy about Century Soup makes me think Komatsu might become badass at some point down the line.

Speaking of this, RightStuf has the Season 1+2 collection for just $30. I remember some impressions saying the second season was weaker, but considering that's how much they're charging for S1 and 2 individually... worth it?

$30 for 50 episodes of anime? Go for that. 2nd season is weaker, but it's still enjoyable.
