Which areas did you visit? Did you happen to go to Isola delle Femmine or Messina? I know most tourists tend to visit Taormina as well.

EDIT: watching a real soccer game there is a completely different experience. It's sad most Americans don't take the sport more seriously

Heard lots of good things about the place and yeah there doesn't seem to be any form of fanaticism at the matches like Europe and South America got, in the US.

Omg this reminded me of my college days. There used to be a nice little Asian cafe that had the most delicious bubble tea. I have fond memories of studying there along with my tasty drink
