Okay, I'm in.

The only PC game where I used a controller and felt like maybe KBAM would have been better was Saint's Row 3.

The rest of the time, I am fine with whatever I chose.

are you one of those weirdos who likes playing FPSes on consoles?

weirdo

edit: devo's a weirdo too, apparently

I'm torn.

M/Kb is obviously the way to go for controlling PC games. It's better, no two ways about it.

But comfy couch!

Touchpad gaming via Splashtop!

I have an Xbox Controller... and I do use it sometimes. I feel ashamed. :(

Came here about a year or two now ago, before all this shit started. Basically, family. My arabic was decent but pretty broken, and obvious to anyone I speak to that i'm not a native.

But it's gotten better to the point where people can't tell i'm from america from how I speak, but they can still tell from what I say or how I say it, lol.

Haha, I was exactly like this when younger too. I could understand basically everything, but couldn't speak if my life depended on it.

That's why I would want to live in Yemen maybe for a bit, force myself to speak the language. I remember when I went when I was waaaayyy younger I was starting to catch it... but then lost it all again once I went back to the States haha.

Haha, that must be kind of awesome. Do your relatives all speak English though?

Eeeehh not so awesome, I want to be able to respond back in arabic :( And well, my cousins know some English. I have a few that can speak and understand it pretty well so it helps for them to translate what I say for me hahah

You guys disgust me, using gamepads on games made for pc. Going to have to bring the wrath of pc gaming gaf here.
I've used pads on pc games too. /Ashamed

Well, I've been playing on consoles since I was a baby, its hard getting used to mouse and keyboard after that!

I love controllers so much but I would never use them for PC FPS games. The small bit of auto-aim console FPS games have make ALL the difference.

I know what that's like. I am a first generation American and can barely speak to my family. Everyone on my dad's side speaks only Greek, and when they do I am at an almost complete loss.

I spent some time there when I was younger, but since leaving I've forgotten all but the very basics of the language.

I had never played FPSs until recently, and I tried it on both and I just can't do it on console. It did take a bit of work to get used to playing with KB/M, but once you do it's hard to use a controller for such games.

I'm also a hardcore point and click adventure fan. It's just madness playing those on console. I kind of see it the same way. The games were just designed for a specific control set.

I also spent hours configuring my 360 controller to play San Andreas on my PC, and the janky way it works with Vice City is one of the main reasons why I have yet to play through it.

I think controllers in general are better for 3rd-person action.

I always look at it as m&k for precision aiming, and controller for precision movement. You don't get the same response with a keyboard as you do with an analog stick.

This is however balanced by the flexibility of a keyboard. You have all those buttons that are missing on a gamepad.

I just got done playing through Dead Space with a M/Kb...

That was a terrible experience.

We should have a PC TF2 GAF showdown. With controllers.

Listen dragonlife, I acacquiesced to your barbaric need to lick plates in private.

Don't make me used a Controller for TF2 as well.

You may as well strike me down here and now... with a Liberty Launcher.

Definitely, I can't see playing those any other way either.

Hard to say for sure since most games like that are designed for consoles then ported to PC, though that's how I plat them too. GTA just controls like shit no matter what you use.
Come at me gaf!

Are you telling me you don't enjoy controlling a perpetually drunk leaden marionette

The more options the better but as someone who went from console fps to pc fps I can see why so many stick with their controls. Though I prefer KB/Mouse for on pc for most games I can still enjoy most games with controllers as well.

But I play mostly fighters now so joystick for life.

TF2 I had a ton of fun with when it launched. Same with Reach though i ended up playing the reach beta more than the actual game.

I'd be so much better at that if I could use kb/m =/

I am quite good at UC3 MP I don't think I'd be as good as I am if I had to use mouse and keyboard.

I tend to stay away from twitch shooters like CoD. BFBC2, MAG, KZ2 or 3rd person shooters like Uncharted MP are what I'm good at.

I only have a gaming PC and a PS3, no 360 so can't say anything about Halo or Gears.

I love controllers so much but I would never use them for PC FPS games. The small bit of auto-aim console FPS games have make ALL the difference.

I find that auto aim hinders my ability to do good in most games. I'm REALLY good at MAG and that game has no aim assist. I hate that in Uncharted MP if you're scoped in and shooting at people from a distance and someone else runs past them it switches targets and always makes me mess up. I wish most games on consoles had an option where you could turn it off.
