Gimme 2 back with the glitches fixed.

Gimmie CE back with online play. Reach is better than two or three IMO. As a huge Halo one fan I thought two was a complete piece of trash. I liked Reach but it was too little too late. I'm over halo in its current incarnations. If halo 4 uses a completely new engine and tries something new I'll give it a shot.

No, just no. You're killing me here. I could write a fucking essay on how much Reach fails.

In my opinion. I hated two with a passion. From it's campaign to it's multiplayer. I think many people have fond memories cause it was the first Halo on live. But having played as much CE as i did at lan parties and on xbconnect I really didn't like any of the changes made in halo 2.

I actually was playing halo 2 MP before they killed it's support(it's how I got into the reach beta) so I went from one to the other and still preferred Reach.

Why do you prefer Reach? I can't abide by this. I just can't. This is the one gaming related thing I get bristly about.

I'm not saying reach was an amazing game I'm saying it was(for me as a CE fan) much better than 2 and 3. But all 3 fail to be as good as CE by a long shot.

No dual Wielding. Somewhat better pistol. Those two changes were enough to put if over 2 for me. Reach has it's faults(which is why I'll never touch it again) but it scratched my halo itch better than 2 or 3 did.

Guess what? I never played 2 on live. Its just that 2 had the best map selection by a motherfucking country mile, no armor abilities and grenades you could predict where they would go making them more useful and less random; oh and none of that melee bullshit they did on Reach.

Honestly I could never fairly judge 2 because of the hate I felt the second they released it and how much they changed from an MP I really loved.

Maybe in hindsight it was a better game but I was so sour on it for so many years and it basically ruined halo for me. Reach kinda tried to go back to what CE was in some ways it failed by I valued the effort. I also liked Reach's campaign more than 2 or 3 by far.

The only shit it brought back was the pistol. Otherwise it's awful. Slow kill times. Shit maps. Lack of mobility in speed and jumping. Lack of strafing. Stupid fucking loadouts that weren't designed along side the maps thus jetpacking to various bullshit places. Bad remakes of maps. Forge world frame rate loss. Nades that were/are too strong. Bloom. Evade in objective. ARMOR LOCK.

I still have fun but compared to earlier iterations, fuck Reach.

/rant

I honestly played the beta about 50 hours and the actual game for less. I beat the campaign on legendary did some mp and was done with it. Halo in itself has grown stale to me so I didn't play it enough to notice all those faults.

Armor Lock is bullshit no doubt, but I did have some good times making people rage with it. You forgot AR still being a worthless piece of inaccurate shit.

Well take my word for it then, Reach was a downgrade. I like most of 343's fixes but they can't redo the whole damn game.

Have never played a Halo game. Not ever.
I remember playing Halo 1 on Xbox, my first real intro into fps, and my friends were surprised with how good I was since I was new to the fps dual stick shit.

Then the Halo 2 multiplayer rave, lan parties and that jaz, but never really got into since I personally didn't own an Xbox/360.

Thanks. I guess I will take part in this madness.

Goodbye Lady avatar.

You look like you could be a Gordon-Levitt.

My intro to fps was Doom, Descent and finally Quake. I'll never forget how weird I thought kb/m was after playing Doom entirely on the keyboard. But I won't go back. Not now.

I've played every Halo game but I'm not sure if I've ever enjoyed them.

They're just always part of the Game of the Year conversations so I feel like I'm obligated to see if Halo(the new one) is any different than Halo(the last one).

I was enjoying Halo Reach's multiplayer for a while (wasn't in to online when 2 came out, didn't have Gold when 3 came out) and I was doing pretty okay, but then one of my teammates decided to spend the rest of the match calling me names because he walked in to one of my grenade explosions and I never logged in again.

I almost never play non-fighting game public matches these days.

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Version 2012

God what a long stupid name. Anyway, pretty much all I play now aside from a few xbla titles and anything I redbox for a day or two.

I spend far more time talking, reading, chatting about games than I do playing them

All I play now is Mario Kart 7. Can't play The Old Republic anymore because dancing no longer makes you invulnerable. They're just racist towards Twi'leks!

Also I play Dungeons of Dredmor but that's not multiplayer.

Today my randoms consisted of quitters and since Bungie decided in Reach it would be more difficult for you to tackle two people at once, losing a team mate is harder than ever to make up for.

I'm so burned out on video games from the Game of the Year/Steam Achievement stuff that it's hard to rationalize picking up a controller.

I had all day to do nothing but play Skyrim or Dark Souls, played 45 minutes of Skyrim, and then just watched Netflix.

I miss Gears 1 before everyone starting glitching. Never owned the game but when I played it in split screen online I was a monster. I could take down entire teams by myself. Gears 2 sucked online ;_;
