maybe they know the sale price for this memory card is too high so they try to keep a low quantity

Man I wish it were that. Since the profit margin is so large and the packaging so small, that wouldn't make much sense. What does? Keeping the highest card limited to force people to upgrade when space on their 8 GB rubs out.

yeah but how many of those average consumers will buy a $100 memory card? Let alone at launch?

This is just an FYI for people that have a Chase Freedom credit card, but I'm planning on using it to buy my Vita/games/accesssories from Amazon since for the 1st quarter of 2012 they are giving 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases.

What is the difference between a Vita connected to Wifi and a Vita connected to 3G?

Is there any application that works with the 3G version only?

pulled the trigger today, damn Feb is gonna be expensive.

I feel like I'm stealing a Vita. I'm hardly paying anything for my launch day stuff thanks to gift cards and Amazon credit.

I haven't spent a dime yet and I have a Vita fully paid off as well as close to $400 worth of gift cards for Best Buy and Gamestop.

Location based applications will work more accurately in 3G Vita.

For some games, there are special MP game modes for 3G Vita. According to Andriasang (or my memory of a few Andriasang articles), RR and Musou support a limited 3G MP mode.

If all go according to plan, I'm buying a 3G Vita just because I like to future proof my purchases, and I dislike draining battery on my iPhone. Due to my heavy usage, my iPhone already run out of battery every day without gaming a single second on it.

The other potential for 3G is Playstation Suite. It is a platform for mobile devices such as phone and tablets. If a PS Suite app is written to take advantage of the phone's location based services, I want to be able to play it on 3G Vita too. PS Suite apps run in a cross platform VM, so I reckon it should be playable on Vita right away.

Will be preordering mine soon. I'll be picking up the first edition bundle as well as Uncharted and LBP. I'd like to preorder Gravity Rush but it doesn't have a date listed which leaves me hesitant. I thought about preordering ModNation and Wipeout, but I'm not a huge fan of racing games and I'd think it rather depressing to get two driving games. I can only turn left so many times.

For those that may have tried this, if I get a 4gb card at launch, will it be easy transfer over my stuff to a 32gb card later? Just dump my data on a computer and then reload it onto a new card?

Sorry for the noob question but I'm assuming there are no issues with getting a US Vita which I'll be taking back to Europe? Just cos I'm in the region here but will move back to Europe eventually. The only thing I should worry about is which region I set my account up to, right?

So, whatever the monthly pricing is for 3G, if I don't want to pay for the 3G I can switch it off and use it as a WiFi Vita, right?

I'm thinking about picking one up a little after launch (Probably March or April, as I'm going on a big vacation in Feb,) and I'm tempted by the 3G, but I'm not sure.

correct.

Hey guys, a question about new PSN download game download terms.

I heard somewhere (here probably) that the game I purchased on PSN can now be registered maximum 2 console account. Since I'm buying 3 Vitas and 3 32 GB Memory cards, I would like to know if this is true or not.

Thanks.

Yes, only 2 PSP/Vita activations per account.

Amazon now(?) has free release day shipping on the two regular units. Not on First Edition though.
I'm thinking of keeping it now, Little Deviants seems like a decent enough diversion.

Pre-ordered mine at Futureshop today. Put my $225 of gift cards to good use. Pair that with $25 HSG and all I need is a memory card. So jacked for it.

Anyone have a recommendation for a tough case with a lot of storage? I plan on taking my Vita with me, so I want to be able to throw it into a bag without worrying. Really like the pull and go folio for my 3DS, is there a Vita equivalent (doesn't really meet the toughness criteria but definitely has a ton of storage!).

just made my preorder on amazon (FR)

Vita ( WIFI ) 245
Starter pack 25
Uncharted 47
16gb Card 50

Total 367euros

and im hesitating about

Wipeout
Hotshot golf
Virtua tennis
UMVC 3
Rayman
Fifa
Little deviant

I think ill switch Uncharted for rayman when ill finish It
And i need to know which best multiplayer game i will take....

amazing lineup though

Why does the charging cradle cost $20? Why would you willingly let yourself get ripped off like that?

Things still got a plug connector too. It wouldn't even offer any convenience over plugging the cable in directly.

That is just absolutely ludicrous, especially the memory card.

All of the value of ownership, and joy, is lost in that colossal rip-off. ($50 games?)

And you guys have to wonder why this thing will tank?

I used to buy imports and throw my money away just as good as the next guy/idiot, even better. But this, and in this day and age, and USA pricing?

i pre-ordered a euro vita (wifi) a week ago for ~$156 from a swiss online store. it was obviously a misprice (regular is $350 here lol), but i have a feeling they'll honor it. it's already paid in full and this is just the kinda store that might. wouldn't be the first time either.
