The Knight in the Area - 01

fkn vuvzuelas >:(

I couldn't help but laugh at how skillful their star striker was against Brazilians.

A bit of childhood friend and a dash of NTR and we're good to go.

Gintama 96

Umibouzu stars as Adolf Hitler in the most epic
hair-regrowth advertisement
in human history. Amazing.

Well fuck, I was on the cusp of marathoning Evangelon TV series over Gurren Lagann this weekend, now I'm not so sure.

Personally I'd recommend watching Eva before TTGL.

[02:41] <@bufbaf> animugaf, is there any current good series, similar to either one of these: planetes, monster, deathnote, higurashi, gantz?
If by current you mean series still airing then you'll probably get a kick out of Mirai Nikki.

Senki Zessho Symphogear 1

Looks like the studio wants to capitalize on the popularity of Madoka with another dark magical girl series. Seems like this one will place just as much emphasis on legit fighting as despair. Definitely has potential. That
transformation
at the end makes me think I am going to like this a lot. Hibiki is also a cool main.

Yup, already following that one, it's a swamp of cliché, but it's a fun ride I guess :) Still, the more the merrier.

I'm glad people are talking about Wandering Son again. Even if some people have wrong opinions about it.

Also Chiba>Anna>Takatsuki>Sarashina>the rest.

I like Chiba but Anna > Chiba.

Once Chiba cleans up her act and stops being a little bitch to everyone, she'd be Anna.

What do you people have against short hair? It's not like she's got twintails or something equally awful. Kanbaru had that hair last season and she was just fiiiiine.
Bald is best?

Mii-tan's father is ugly.

He is not waifu material.
He's husbando-fu material!

Gintama 237-8

The Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon makes its long-awaited return!

The Shogun always gets stripped when he shows up. Poor thing.

That was some... creative censorship.

Gintama 239-40

I've been waiting for this story since I was shown an excerpt from the manga version. And it did not disappoint! Best harem ever.

And with that, I'm finally up to date with Gintama. I can see why people said the current season is even cruder than before. I'll be honest, it came dangerously close to crossing the line of what I personally consider acceptable. But it's just so hilarious that I can overlook that. I'm excited for what this show has to offer in the year ahead!

The Knight in the Area 1

Hm it is better than I expected and one that I will keep watching. Kakeru started out as one of the type of protagonists I hate the most but the change over the course of the episode left him as a favorite along with his brother and Yuusuke. Suguru-san is pretty epic and I cant wait to see if they both get a chance to do some team up skill or something, not that experienced on soccer terminology.

Effect used during playing soccer look nice.

I'm trying to remember the name of a film. I've only seen a poster for it, but I remember there was a girl and a large black and white... thing. It looked like an alien or a monster or something, but that's all I really remember. It's pretty vague, I know, but I've been trying to track this bad boy down for sometime. Anyone think they know what I'm referring to?

Haha I still don't know what that means.

No, I don't think the film was very well known. The monster thingamajig was round. It might have been floating. I also wanna say that the girl in the picture was wearing a school uniform and that a cityscape was in the background, but my imagination might be taking liberties on my memory.

Spirited away probably

Knight in the Area 1:
So, that was a great first episode. I was worried that they might rush through too much of the early manga chapters to get to a certain moment in Episode 1, so I'm glad that those fears were unfounded. Everyone is cast well, and it was really enjoyable overall. I hope the adaptation continues to be strong, as this manga is one of my favorites.

Show of the season.

I know, right?

I haven't actually watched CCS.

You should work on fixing that, then. CCS is too great not to have soon.

Definitely the silliest first episode of the season so far.

Why did they wait until everyone in the stadium was dead to act? Why was Hibiki safe until Kanade noticed her when everyone else in the stadium was brutally murdered? Why didn't she try to run away? Why was generic J-Pop the source of Kanade's power? Why did the monsters stop attacking when she went to help Hibiki? Why was Kanade suicidal about a random schoolgirl almost dying when she witnessed hundreds of people being turned into black blobs of nothingness? Was there anything about this episode that wasn't totally dumb?

That dance is physically impossible for fat otaku.

(And possibly for most professional dancers)

Long hair is the best. Delicious golden curls.

I think the handstand is the only thing that would give people trouble, besides actually switching between positions so quickly.

And I would think most dancers could actually do a handstand, though one handed might be a little much.

And I really like that song, way more than I thought I would when it first came on.
