The devkits have TV Out from what people say. There's no real reason why they couldn't put it on the Vita. They probably just plan to sell it as an accessory at some point.

TV out on the devkit is from the bottom, the port is on the top on retail units.

Edit: He's referring to this thing:

What's that for? Not for memory or sim cards, and the one on the right is for games....

Accessory slot is such a loose term. It could mean anything. Honestly the shape on that thing just looks like it could be a modified micro HDMI port for all I know.

I keep going back and forth on the First Edition bundle and a normal Wi-Fi one. I just don't see any benefit at all to the 3G, I already have a smartphone. This is so annoying.

Do you want the $100 extra stuff you get for the First Edition compared to just the normal wifi model? Or do you just want it a week early?

Sounds like a simple problem to me.

I, too, have a smartphone and won't be using 3G on my Vita.

I ended up waffling on the 16gb card. Decided to get an 8gb card and spend that extra money on another game. Why are there so many games I want at launch? :( :) :( :)

potential expansions - also note that of the two holes, 1 is a screw mount the other looks like all the world like it's some sort of power/interface connector - i can see a couple of gold connectors in the plastic.

PSP had those connectors in the Mini-USB port, but that was used for the TV antenna thingie, the camera, the microphone for Talkman, and the GPS. The last three are no longer applicable to Vita.

Damn...well there goes my PS Vita plans. My 60GB PS3 decided to go YLOD tonight. Looks like I'll cancel my pre-orders and apply the money I had saved for the Vita towards a new PS3.

Guess Vita will be something down the road for me.

Just eat at Taco Bell every day and try to win one for free!
While I do like Taco Bell, I don't think I'm (or anyone for that matter) am ready for that.

I was so hyped for the Vita and counting down the days. Now I'll need to start researching PS3 bundles.

Starting to get really excited for the vita. 3G first edition, 32GB stick and several games ordered from amazon. My hands are ready. Are trophies mandated for Vita games?

Damn this to hell, I just went on a diet too.

You guys mostly going physical or digital?

Got a Vita when I was in Japan and picked up a couple games (physical), but thinking of grabbing a 32GB card and going digital once the games come out here.

But I love the cases and like having shit on my shelf :P

Physical. Love knowing 20 years from now, I'll still have the games.

I'm mostly going physical. It should save me same issues with having to switch accounts when I'm playing imports and they are more likely to drop fast in price. I'll still get plenty of PSP games and PS1 Classics from the PSN Store.

I'm going physical for single player stuff (Uncharted, Gravity Daze, etc) and digital for multiplayer stuff (Hot Shots, Wipeout, etc) and exclusive PSN games like Escape Plan and Super Star Dust Delta.

I have a feeling this will be the last dedicated handheld from Sony, so to hold onto some hope of backwards compatibility in the future with other devices, I'm going digital.

Yup.

Yeah, this seems like the best idea to me. If it's something you're going to return to, having it with you all of the time makes sense.

Is there no Mac version of the Vita content manager yet?
Apparently not at the moment.

Do Vita trophies count into your total trophy count with the PS3 trophies? And would you be able to see Vita trophies on your PS3?
