Don't let the shounens scare you away.

As for manga adaptations, Saturn Apartments or Takemitsu Zamurai. Onani Master Kurosawa.

I've posted in the manga thread before, it's just I don't know. I don't read all that much manga besides the popular shounen titles anyway. I'm more invested in anime than manga anyway.

Cage of Eden by Madhouse.

I guess I'm not the only one reading this.

Hey guys I got my computer back! Woo it's somewhat fixed. Anyway I didn't know whether to post this or in the manga thread, but seeing as I never go to the manga thread I just decided to post it here.

What manga do you guys want animated next? And by what studio? You can't pick anything that has an anime adaptation that got canceled or finished while the manga is still going. An example of that is Hitman Reborn or D. Gray-man.

Aiki
Aphorism
Blood Lad
Btooom!
Chaosic Rune
D-Frag
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
Dorohedoro
Cage of Eden
Esprit
Franken Fran
Gamaran
Gambling Emperor Zero (by the Kaiji team)
Gas Mask Girl
I Am A Hero
Iris Zero
Doubt
Judge
Kamisama no Iutoori
Karakuri Circus
Kongou Banchou
Liar Game (also by the Kaiji team)
Otogi Matsuri
Pokemon Reburst
Popcorn Avatar
Re-Birth: The Lunatic Taker
Sengoku Youko
Shingeki no Kyojin
Sun-Ken Rock
Taboo-Tattoo
To-Love Ru Darkness (do sequels count?)
Tokyo Esp
Trinity 7
666 Satan
Arago
Alive: The Final Evolution (might not count since there was going to be one)
Defense Devil
Inumimi
Yankee-kun to Megane-chan
Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer
Ibitsu
Kurohime
Mai-chan's Daily Life
Mixim 11
Onani Master Kurosawa
Law of Ueki Plus (also a sequel)

Don't care about the studios doing it for the most part.

I guess I'm not the only one reading this.

And that's why you should go to the manga thread. It's among the more talked about ones there.

Fight! Iczer-1

That was...interesting, I suppose, although the ending felt pretty flat. It's very 1980s; Iczer-1 has gigantic hair, and Cobalt and Sepia wear enough pink eyeliner to be truly outrageous. And what is it with the JSDF having huge flying fortresses? There were a bunch of them in the Heisei-era Godzilla movies, too.

Huh this is surprising, maybe I'll drop by soon. I feel like after asking the question earlier, that all of the manga that has been said should be ones for me to read. But like anime I have no time for all of it.

We Still Don't Know the Name of the Harem Show We Saw That Day 1

I Thought I was in for some Birdy copy cat at the beginning but then it just turns into generic harem show 101. Seeing that it was done by the guys who did Onegai Sensei I guess I shouldn't have expected much.

Would be nice, but I don't really see fap note getting an anime adaption.

But, he doesn't have a harem.

Well, manga is much less time consuming.

whoa, new leiji matsumoto anime in two months.
The Nikkan Sports newspaper is reporting on Thursday that "an illusive unreleased scenario" by 72-year-old manga and anime creator Leiji Matsumoto (Space Pirate Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato, Galaxy Express 999) has been "unearthed," and will finally be made into a television anime project three decades later. The title of the project is Ozuma, and it is set on a future Earth that has gone to ruins in a sea of sand.

The six-episode project will premiere on March 16 and run every Friday at midnight as the 20th anniversary project of the WOWOW television channel.

Matsumoto had created the plot in the 1980s, but it has not been animated until now. When he received a fervent pitch to finally adapt the project into anime to mark WOWOW's 20th anniversary, he gave his seal of approval.

Shingeki no Kyojin - Manglobe, if there's any life left in them.
Onani Master Kurosawa - Kyoani
Prison School - Madhouse
Gamaran - Bones
Bambino - Davids Production

The tropes have been there throughout time and have constantly been exploited. It's just nerds love to label things.

I mean, most Jane Austen characters are tsundere. And Henry V is basically a shounen, with long ass fight scenes and power-up speeches. Just don't tell an English scholar that their beloved texts are like crappy anime!

That's very true, and as I said even in anime they've been around for a while. My thinking is that the recent RISE in the prevalence of these tropes specifically with regards to anime/manga/videogames/light novels etc. is the introduction of these cute, one word easy to say terms.

Riding Bean

I watched too many fatty harem and moe shows, my heart can't take so much non-stop badass action anymore. It was so great!

After Agent Aika, Gunsmith Cats, Airbats and Riding Bean what can I watch now?

sure, sure, I watched all the shows already. I'm no newbie, but a proud monocle/hipster/moe hybrid.

Sukeban Deka would be the first completly new show for me, but I could add Iris and Armitage @watchlog.

I think it's just a case of the internet helping make everything more memetic and nerds desperately seeking community. I mean, American nerds have their own meme-like shorthand vocabulary as well (ie, to "Fox" a show).

Bodacious Space Privateers 1

Sadly, not as bodacious as I was expecting. I'll give it a couple more eps but so far I'm not impressed.

What the hell are you doing?
It's only one episode left each!
Not going to watch Last Exile Fam? If you like the original Last Exile, you really should consider it a must-watch.
I am a HUGE Last Exile fan. But I feel like without Claus & Lavie that I just will constantly wish they were there. It's probably not a very soon watch but I'm not discounting it.
Also, as I said I thought Gosick was okay up until ep. 18 though not after that, but Fractale, really? Why continue with that? And you said you disliked Chihayafuru, but I guess you're going to keep watching anyway? (Sure, why not, I do that sometimes.)
I only have one episode of Fractale left even though I hate it. Guh.

I don't dislike Chihayafuru. I dislike the pettanko Chihaya. ;)

What's GAF's opinion on Xam'd? I remember the first half being really great with all the great slice of life content, and the quality went down in the second half after it went all serious with the story.

Also (spoilers)

Nakiami should've been the true waifu :(

The boss gave me a raise!

*breakdances

Congrats!

I know that feel bro, this is what happens to me as I watch the show. It's made even worse because most of the new characters are all really boring or just outright irritating.

Great OPs, interesting world that goes nowhere and is just a huge disappointment.

Still works.
Your tsundere tendencies are so adorable.

that's the opinion. Well, the first half good second half bad thing, at least. I don't think it going 'serious' with the story was the fault, more than the story just kinda blew up.
