Heh, come on I had to ask? Fewell has the been the target of ire (and at times deservedly so!) for months now. As soon as Spags was fired folks were calling for his return despite the fact that the defense knocked the shit out of the Jets and Cowboys to get into the playoffs. After the Atlanta shutout there were still calls for his head....LJ11 said:

Ugh, what a frustrating game to watch. The Giants thoroughly outplayed the Packers, but the Packers didn't do themselves any favors with the drops, fumbles, etc. I also fully admit the officiating was awful.

Anyways, Giants are obviously riding the hot hand after shutting down Atlanta and Green Bay. Defense is greatly improved, so I'd be surprised if next week is a high-scoring affair at Candlestick.
Wish we didn't shit the bed, but it would've been an ill-gotten victory because of the horrid officiating. Defense needs some revamping posthaste, this season was an abomination despite our record. Finley and Walden can go, hopefully Driver comes back for one more year.
We overachieved during the regular season, the 15-1 record proved to be very misleading.

Well, they did give up 37 freaking points.
I thought it was pretty clear in September that we were in trouble if we didn't get the defense fixed by the time the playoffs rolled around. Great offenses still have off days, great defenses usually don't.
