There are some slight changes I would like to see done to the multiplayer that would really make me happy as someone who plays Halo competitively. First, I hate the fact that you can shoot grenades out of the air and make them explode. Yes, it makes for some funny moments but when your own grenade gets blown up in your hand and kills you, it sucks. I'd like that removed because when it happens, it's complete luck. No player intended for it to happen and I don't think that's cool. Also, bring back insta-spolsion the way it was implemented in Halo 3. It was difficult to do, required skill and was a whole lot of fun. It only happens sometimes now in Reach. Let's make it happen all the time.

Don't forget being able to hit flag poles with bullets, grenades and rockets. ugghh
Hahaha I had that all typed up and then deleted it for some reason in that post. But yea fuck it, flag poles should be able to have shit pass through it.
In order of importance:
- BR
- Launch game for the next xbox, no release on the 360
- Color
- No post processing shitfest (no motion blur, piss filter... )
- Simple story
- Don't sacrifice a good stable framerate for better graphics
- Increased movement speed
- Small maps with simple geometry for mp
- No cutscenes
- Fast startup
- Faster matchmaking
- Join/leave games in progress
- Better map creator
- Scrap reachs crappy new weapons (Plasma Launcher, DMR, Plasma Repeater, Concussion Rifle, Orbital Strike) and vehicles (Revenant). Bring back the Brute Shot and Chopper (if the brutes return).

But the Revenant has a built-in no-scope aimhack for passengers with snipers. Why would you get rid of that vehicle?
Having those things (weapons, flagpoles, skulls, etc.) have bullet collision is what makes Halo what it is. Keep it in.

People say they want halo 2, but they don't really want halo 2. They want that feeling, but that feeling won't be there with another halo 2. We need something new to get that feeling again.
Except that Reach is the first Halo game in which it's possible.
Also, it adds nothing except for the occasional lucky kill or suicide.

The flag has been solid since at least 3 (see also: core launching)

I thought people were trolling, but it really seems like they miss the days of halo 2. It's as if they want to take a step back to a mulitplayer that was evolutionary for the time but is severely dated, and full exploits that gave competitive players a false sense of superiority.
It's a lot like a former high school jock trying to relive their glory days, years and years after high school has ended, making it up to be something greater than it was and never moving forward.
Shooting grenades would blow them up for the first time in Reach, but the rest has been in much, much longer than that.

I really want less sticky aim - playing through Reach and Anniversary it can be really noticeable at times.
I know it has to be there and it's not always noticeable, but when it is it's very hard to ignore.

No to dual wielding... it means that the sandbox is flooded with "half weapons" that aren't useful alone.
And no to the brute shot.
I'm talking about being able to make grenades explode if you shoot them mid-air. I'm pretty sure that wasn't possible in any other Halo. Also, I don't think you could hit flags with grenades or rockets.
Regardless, it's something that should be taken out.

I dug the pistol/smg combo even more than the plasma rifle/smg in halo 2. Yes, bring it back! And if you only have one equipped, give it a more powerful 2 hand alternate fire. Most people's complaint was just how weak having one equipped was.
Just random additions even though I already posted a while back:
-make sprinting default
-make jumping less floaty and possibly even higher (Crysis 2 I'm looking at you)
-more geometry in maps to play grenades off of (I love when grenade throwing feels like a billiards game)
-get rid of armor lock altogether, good lord!
-tone down rocket launcher...why did they make it even more powerful in Reach?
-better aesthetic weapon design (at least covenant weapons, cause they look like toys)
-A little more weapon feedback, even though they have improved that in each successive game.
-better maps, more maps! This is probably the most important one. Reach's maps were a disgrace.

Yeah, that's definitely been in since 2, because when we were bored we'd try to throw grenades into the sky on Coag and shoot them down. It was a lot harder to have happen/pull off in 2 than in 3 or Reach though.
