Didn’t realize Crunchyroll started offering full 1080P for subscribers. I may end up keeping my subscription after my free 30 days now.

Chihayafuru Episodes 1-3

Teared up a bit during episode 3, expect to be full on crying at some point during this show. Damn this series is good.

Lagrange -The Flower of Rin-ne Episode 1

S'alright, I’ll give it a few more episodes to see how things develop.

Haibane Renmei 1

Outside of the great soundtrack there's nothing else to really comment on. Didn't really learn much about the characters or the world.

Slow pacing has never been an issue for me, so I will happily watch this to its conclusion and look forward to potential revelations!

I've watched 1ep of Madoka, 6ep of Usagi Drop, and 10ep of Penguin Drum. I feel so antagonistic.

Haibane Renmei doesnt really explore those things. It kind of leaves it up to interpretation.
You do learn about the characters and the basic rules of the world though. A lot of it is intentionally vague.

So I just finished Birdy The Mighty: Decode and outside of some terrible animation in the second season I can say that this was a fun ride. We need more villians like Moss too.

Yeah, the show is about the characters. The world more or less is what it is.

Persona 4 > Ika Musume
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon > Guilty Crown
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai @ #10

I'm okay with this.

I liked Ano Hana as much as the next guy (not so many of these guys on AnimeGAF but evidently more in general on GAF) but Team AnoHana must admit defeat. Team HanaIro won :(

Team Madoka reigns over everything, it's not like we're concerned with such a meaningless battle like Hanairo vs Anohana

Team Denpa is still the best. FREE HALY :(

Ano Natsu de Matteru 03:

Kaito's dreams still kind of remind me of Takeo's daydreams from Maho Tsukai Tai. He's amusing in his own way, even if a bit generic. Kaito decides to call in sick because he wants to be left alone (i.e. he doesn't want to see Ichika). Meanwhile Ichika worries Kaito might have figured out that she's not from Earth (and here we get an amusing daydream from Ichika that plays out in the same style as Kaito's imagination!) XD Actually, it seems EVERYONE in this show has an active imagination. :-P Remon on the other hand, continues to be completely awesome! She bloody steals scenes whenever she's in them.

WHY ISN'T IT NEXT WEEK YET!! ;_;

EDIT: I also REALLY REALLY like the ED song. Too bad it's not on Youtube in full yet. >>;

Gunbuster is "Top O Nerae" isnt it? I want to see that. It looks cute.
Go watch Ace no Nerae! Cat fights galore!

Should've been #1. We've failed the ghost loli, and now, she weeps. :(
Secret Base.mp3.

Also, I suppose I should make a comment about how bad Redline is on that list.

Honestly, I was about to get mad at the lack of progress until that jokey ending. I must admit, that was cute.

Also, I don't think I've seen an actual love-line before - especially a linear, uni-directional love-line. It's a magnificent feat.

Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon > Guilty Crown
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai @ #10

I'm okay with this.

I don't know who claimed Horizon picks up after ep3 (or was it 5? ), but they were right. Horizon should have gotten Guilty Crown's budget and vice versa.

So I was faintly entertaining the thought of some day watching Infinite Stratos, but if it can't even manage to exceed the Guilty Bound, I just don't know.

I see the hipsters successfully held THE IDOLM@STER out of the Top 10. Good show, old chaps!

Not sure what you mean, the hipsters were the ones voting it #1 in vain hopes of it breaking the top 10.

So I just finished Birdy The Mighty: Decode and outside of some terrible animation in the second season I can say that this was a fun ride. We need more villians like Moss too.

You've just lit the pizzaroll signal.

MARU! 03:

I think I've realized why I find this show so visually appealing. It's the color palette. Everything's really heavy on aquamarine and seafoam green with some darker blues and yellows. It feels incredibly clean and refreshing, just right for a futuristic beachside locale.

I'm glad that
the battle finally wrapped up (at least for now.) With Madoka and Wan's uninteresting self-doubt issues resolved this early in the show, we can hopefully get back to the fun character interaction we previously saw between them. Throwing Muginami into the mix (which finally looks like it's going to happen next episode) will probably liven things up a little, too.

I'm also hoping that
the plot doesn't end up being as simple as the villainous aliens actually being the good guys and vice-versa, but the three De Metrians are being given too much face time to ultimately end up as fodder. There's no indication that anyone from their race other than them are directly involved in the conflict, so it might just the the three of them for the whole show unless they have to call in reinforcements at some point. The narrow-eyed alien guy in the control tower is shady as hell, though, and of course there's the ominous prophecy regarding the Voxes, so the dynamic of the conflict is undoubtedly going to become more gray at some point.

This is fine, but I don't think that I want a total reversal of good and bad. The show is at its best when Madoka is being genki and suplexing mechas, and too much angst is just going to drag that down. I'm totally fine with a mecha series that stays generally lighthearted throughout.

Brave 10 03:

It's a girl! No, it's a dude! No, really, it's a girl! Saizou has powerful gender-guessing-no-jutsu, not to mention the ability to non-lethally carve enemies up, fall from drawbridges above canyons and walk it off unscathed, and magically fly back to cliffsides after being blown from them by gusts of wind.

ZZZZzzzzzzzz. The show is mediocre at best and horrible at worst, with no meat whatsoever beyond the obvious rekijo/fujoshi pander. Isanami is cute (though
suddenly wanting to jump Saizou's bone at any opportunity
was a little out of character this episode), but she exists only to
be kidnapped
every episode to justify Saizou's fight against the bishounen of the week. I'd drop it, but I'm a masochist and it's the only manly action anime this season so I'm going to see it to the end.

Sorry if the spoiler tags are excessive, I'm erring on the side of caution.
