Melody of Oblivion 3

Maybe I was wrong. Maybe this is the show that'll do me in.

What a jerk!

Every time a jerk shows up in a show we proclaim that he was either that dick kid from Ergo Proxy, or one of his descendants.

What show was that again?

One of the early episodes of Ergo proxy. 4 or 5 I believe.

Watching Melody of Oblivion will only make you a stronger, better person.

Meh,
It's pretty obvious that all the secondary characters are gonna die in the order that they appear in the ED. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw an Umbrella with a sharp point at the top. Why the hell anyone would think that's a good idea is beyond me.

You are entirely wrong. I know who dies next, and it isn't anybody shown in the ED. The umbrella didn't seem to be particularly sharp, but she fell directly onto the point at a high speed, her momentum was easily enough to push it through the soft flesh around her neck, and it happens that the carotid artery is relatively close to the surface of your skin. This is why you can feel your pulse by pushing your fingers against the side of your neck, the carotid is RIGHT THERE. Once the carotid was pierced, the sheer inexorable force of the human heart pumping blood did all the rest.

Incidentally, if you weren't paying close attention during that conversation, you really should. Because what Mei was explaining was merely half of what you should have taken away from the conversation. I will however, leave you with one question and you can try to find the answer for yourself if you care enough. The entire conversation provides you with more than enough clues to determine the correct answer. Question:
Where was the old woman who owns the doll shop and what was she doing during that entire conversation?

I caught onto it immediately, Is the old lady the girl? If they pull a Scooby Doo on this I will drop this. The creepy mystery girl was just the old woman in disguise!

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit Episode 7

This episode makes Balsa seem kind of like an idiot. So what if some local jerk doesn’t know who you are? The bad guys have star readers, who predicted there was a water demon in the kid and were right, don’t you think they can find out he’s still alive? I understand keeping them in the same place is easier plot wise but Balsa seemed like a smarter woman than that.

Lagrange -The Flower of Rin-ne Episode 2

Dat cliffhanger.

Chihayafuru Episode 4

Aw man, don’t be that way Arata!

I'm glad to be wrong about the stuff with the ED. As for the umbrella this looks pretty sharp to me.

Ano Natsu - 3

This show continues to entertain. The cast is so fun to watch
The ending of the episode has me wanting so much more. Also, why did he try confessing to her in the first place? Did he think she liked him because of the forehead kissing thing?

I wouldn't go so far as to say she IS the old woman. Instead, remember what Mei explains to Kouichi in the basement about how dolls are empty and are looking for something to fill the void. Now imagine the old woman is a witch. She has been killing children for the last 26 years in order to bring her dolls to life. Dolls such as one of her favorites, the one she calls "Mei". Which is why there's a Mei standing there talking with Kouichi which has a doll's eye, and a Mei which really is a doll in a coffin. Anyways, this is just my theory, I'm not reading any further in the manga since I don't want to spoil it for myself.

My theory is that she is the daughter of The Penguin and was borrowing her dad's umbrella that day. Thats the only thing that could explain someone having a shiv on a goddam umbrella

I like how "terrible animation" is used to say "i can't stand or recognize well-done stylized animation so i'll just insult the people who worked on it and call it terrible" these days

>:(
If it was so well done why was some of the crayon scribbling fixed for DVD?

We should have had OP and ED of the year so iDOLM@STER and Yuru Yuri could be in the top 10 (top one respectively more like)

Anime version of the Oscars where there's different categories sounds like a pain to maintain, although it would be interesting to see.

Black Rock Shooter OVA

I see nothing in this that is beyond the bounds of interaction in a normal, platonic female friendship. It's even got the too nice friend thief whom you can't quite bring yourself to like or get along with down pat.

I'm just glad you watched it. It gets way more hate than you would think something short and sweet like BRS could muster.

Another - 3

There we go, now the plot is starting to unfold and the story is getting dark
Disappointed at the crappy eye patch reveal that just about everyone predicted, but the ending was so unexpected that I don't even care. From the looks of things, it seems that students from class 3 go through tragedies, but it's a mystery as to what the "trigger" for their death is. Also, why is Sakakibara the only person who can see Misaki?

I love mysteries. Are there any good mystery anime other than Higurashi?

Vampire Princess Miyu TV 2

Watching this is reminding me of how much I like dark tales of the supernatural preying on the weaknesses of humanity in modern Japan like this and Boogiepop Phantom. It's doing a really good job setting the appropriate atmosphere.

I...I edited my list.

I'm so sorry geneijin ;-;
I stood alone this whole time? :(

I don't know who claimed Horizon picks up after ep3 (or was it 5? ), but they were right. Horizon should have gotten Guilty Crown's budget and vice versa.
Honestly, I rather have a staff change instead, and the budget for GC wasn't that great. Can't really have moments like at the end of Episode 4 when you have heavy-handed exposition in a good portion of the episodes.

Carnival Phantasm 12

So this is what happens when you choose the harem ending.
Bad End

So where's season 4?

Fate/Prototype

I want more of this. No, I_need_more of this.

Ano Natsu 03:

Remon is far and away my favorite character. She's sly, mischievous, speaks in a manner way too old for her age, and sounds like a loli who took too many benzos. U hu hu hu. I suppose her purpose is to be the catalyst for some of the character interaction before Jintan and Ichika's relationship can develop, which is fine by me if it remains consistently humorous (although
spiking the remonade
in Ep. 2 was a little absurd.) This episode felt a bit slow and, as others have pointed out, the misunderstanding plot is kind of a tired device, but Remon and lots of flustered Tanigawa made up for it.

Also, two Tommy Lee Jones for the price of one! Apparently Ichika has no memory of Will Smith.

Now to catch up on Chihayafuru!

Of course, it's nowhere near as confusing as Boogiepop Phanton because the stories are far less obfuscated.

I really enjoyed the structure of Boogiepop. I have a special fondness for narratives that follow the stories of a bunch of various individuals as they interlock with each other, as happens to various extents in that show, Baccano, and Trapeze.

I'm sorry, if you are bored by this show then quite frankly you are entirely defective.

I'm happy with both animes...

And laugh about the "boring" comments

Not completely bored, but mostly, there's too much nudge nudge wink wink don't tell him what's going on throughout the episode which just makes the character interactions feel like an artificial means to build up a mystery in that area. And the parts with eye patch girl, aren't engaging enough mostly because everyone is beating around the bush.

Why does crunchyroll's player suck so much shit? I can't get it to work on Firefox without it messing up panning shots, and on Chrome I can't get it to display full screen without some awful artifacting.

It also randomly crashes before playing any videos on my iTouch.

Only thing I can really suggest is that you try popping out the video player into a separate window on Firefox before going full screen and seeing if that helps at all.
