It only took them 3 episodes to conclude a story arc that was stretched out over the entire third season. They are really not wasting any time here. As well they shouldn't be, because first off they have to make amends for the previous season and second off this is the final season. Shit got real right away and stayed real for the entire episode, which is something which I don't think has happened even once during the entire previous 3 seasons.
I'm not sure what else they are planning to cover in the remaining 9 episodes but if this pace keeps up I can definitely see the show ending in a similar manner as the (still unfinished) LNs. I'm hoping this is what Noboru Yamaguchi is planning.

I think I will just watch the movie first too. I also found out that Yen Press is translating the novels so I might read those as well if I like the movie

Chihayarecap 16: I love the 4-koma segments. This recap episode is like the opposite of Utena's. Instead of trying to integrate the retread into the actual story the comedy segments are inserted between the reused footage. Madhouse is baiting you with the promise of funnies for your patience with watching the same old shit.

She only does MARU! like 6-7 times the whole series so far. You might as well GIF them all.

Wait, so there are other male students at the school besides Toudou and Ozaki and the whole school isn't just a tennis court and locker room? I'm shocked. Hiromi pretty much showed every other character up in this episode, and it was awesome. There was also lots of bitches being bitches, and I loved the scene where Otowa got taken down a peg. It was a real punch the air moment. The art direction for this episode was also awesome. There were so many awesome looking scenes, especially those sinister flames in the background during the phone call.

Going to actually try and finish this series this time.
I still like the OP and the ED after all these years, so that's a plus. I do like the style of it and follows the manga pretty well.

I was just browsing through SZS OPs on Youtube the other night. There are so many great ones, but I think this is my favorite.

They treat Tadakuni so bad. I liked the middle song and the inn episode. The rest were decent. Karasawa must be the animators favorite, so popular in the series.

zeroshiki would know best, since he the biggest Book Girl fan here. But if the movie does cover the entire series, you may want to wait if you're going to read the books. It ends fairly definitively, is all I'll say.
Also, MARU.
Watch anything you like. The movie is more of a summary of the whole series but everything is disconnected anyway.

Honestly, if it weren't for the inspiring score in the last few minutes before the credits, I would have dumped this show. I don't like any of the characters thus far but if the score used in the first episode is any indication of the OST's quality, then I will watch this show.

I'm pretty sure the genre is Maru.
It sounds like pretty straightforward J-pop to me, it kind of has a trance sound to it.
It's nothing like straightforward/generic jpop, imo. As for genre, it's House more than anything.
