I don't quite get what you mean here. cajun's in charge of routing the trucks IIRC. He doesn't ride in the trucks with them! He's in a room somewhere looking at a computer screen!

And yeah, it just occurred to me that driving a fuel truck could be a dangerous job with fuel prices the way they are in this economy in areas where everyone owns an assault rifle, like Texas.

Awesome stuff. That rally was just incredible, one of the really highlights of the series so far. There was so much intensity there, and it revealed more about both characters. Hiromi is awesome when she gets determined. I really, really don't like Otowa and her friends. Such bitches. There needs to be some serious comeuppance somewhere down the line.

This is correct.
Im in a safe part of town too so no worries.
As for assault rifles, it is illegal to own an automatic rifle.
Most AR15s are semi-auto including mine.

When the characters are so sketchily developed, their relationships so static, and the show as a whole so lightweight, I have difficulty accepting the kind of serious character moments this episode tried to pull off.

On the contary I do like the decision of them going with flash for this show. It's magical.

The first half of this episode was kind of slow, but the second half was good. I liked Lotta's reaction to her actions, and it was nice to get some actual development for Harulu. She's been around for awhile, but this is the first time I feel like she's had some good depth to her personality. The end of the episode seems promising for where the plot will go from here.

Hee hee, the AR-15 is the civilian version of the M16, from which the M4 Carbine is derived. It's possible to modify any AR-15 to have a full-automatic mode, though I'm not sure why anyone would do that, as your accuracy with an assault rifle in full-automatic mode is only slightly worse than that of an average Imperial Stormtrooper. That being said, anybody can make an AR-15 fully automatic, legal or no. I don't know if the standard civilian AR-15 supports three-round bursts but that's the ideal combination of accuracy and stopping power compared to semi-auto.

Also, you really have a lot of money if you can buy all your anime and a $1,200 assault rifle. If I'm ever in Louisiana (unlikely), I'll need to find you because I've always wanted to shoot an assault rifle.

I have to vehemently disagree. What it is, is cheap as all hell.
 
Electromagnetic Girlfriend 1-2

Finally got around to watch this, and it was pretty good, as far as I'm concerned.
First episode I kept thinking that Ame
might have been part of the killers, instead turns out nice classmate girl was the one involved, which made me both happy and sad.
Second episode seemed less strong initially, but the end totally makes up for that, in more ways than one.
Frankly, I love the Ju/Ame combo and now I'd love to read the novels, if only they were available in a language I understood.

Its not that i'm rich.
Far from that.
It is very cheap to live here and I split the costs with roommates.
I put my money into a local bank that pays a good interest rate and i financed my car at 0% interest.
I dont go out often and blow money at bars or clubs.
I just save what I get and i keep track of what I spend.
Thats why I always have extra money to blow on anime.
As for shooting an assault rifle, it feels similar to shooting ordinary rifles.
My cz 527 and ar15 both use the same ammo for the most part.
There is a local indoor range that allows you to rent a full auto but you cant take it out of tbe building.
I can say for certain that hollywood gets it completely wrong because the gun will literally rise upward if you keep firing until you put holes in the ceiling.

Found this show very easy to get behind. A lot of the plot elements and story structure seem overly convenient or played out (
like being shown the robot for the first time and oh look, an enemy has shown up at this exact moment
) but the show has a lot of personality and spunk to it. Seems like it'll be a fun show, thanks in part to an affable cast and a catchy soundtrack.

I don't think pointing to lax standards elsewhere and using them as a justification for further deviations from acceptable social, moral and legal norms is a particularly strong argument!

For mobile suits, it was quite good, some really goofy ones which I liked and a neat new Mobile Armour, which uh, thinking about I don't think ever returned after the episode they featured in... hm. Though, I wasn't overly fond of Double Zeta itself, probably because I kept wishing Judau would just launch in the damn thing and stopping wasting time.

Anyway, it was kinda meh overall I feel. Thankfully it's nothing but movies and short OVAs before the next big series.

I would congratulate you for getting through the whole thing, but I don't know if that makes you a good person. I couldn't get passed the fifth episode.
