Not surprising, just blow up Doom or switch to something than can go through that.

Dante's cr.L has no hitbox on the gun, so some characters will be able to stand inside/over it.

She was the same in vanilla, just no one played her properly. Everyone was in the mindset that if you couldn't put someone in a hundred mixups, they were ass. I played a number of Morrigans in vanilla that did the fireball spam, but no 'pros' realized that that's how she was supposed to be played. *shrug*

I guess she did improve a bit thanks to the lack of blocking during airdash, as well as someone like Wolverine losing his invincibility.
 
I don't think people are mad that she's good now. They're mad because she sucks out all of the hype of these matches.
 
I wouldn't call for a nerf. There is plenty retarded shit in this game, aside from that. Meter-less TOD with Dante being high up on the list, as well as Zero's everything. They need to nerf Chris G's airgrabs. Wtf. Mystic grabs.

I don't mind Morrigan, it's a refreshing change of pace from the stupid rushdown heavy game marvel has become. Any kind of zoning that can beat fucking teleports and divekicks is fine in my book.

I don't think people are mad that she's good now. They're mad because she sucks out all of the hype of these matches.
I get hyped as fuck when I see her shutting down Wesker, Wesker and other cheap ass characters. People need to learn how to block.
 
Yea, that Morrigan spam is hype. It's like one of those timers you have to beat a mission in DMC secret missions. Kill off the enemy in 10-15 seconds or lose the match entirely.

I am in favour of a stew, but that shit is fundamentally broken I say. Also, Morrigan doesn't immediately become ass if you take that away. I put Morrigan in A tier ATM anyways because of the spam. She is nowhere close to low tier, you'd be a fool if you think so. Tournament results prove it too.

Also, I laugh at everyone who complains about zoning. It's not unbeatable.

Block means chip, and you still gain meter for chipping. With hidden missiles moving in is surprisingly hard.

Or at least make her fireballs go away if she gets hit. The fact that even when you get in, your not safe and have to block again is bullshit, because it let's Morrigan get away free.

Thing is, without meter gain, there's no way she's popping Sin & Punishment mode more than once or twice per match unless you're really godlike with Soul Drain timing/placing. Her solo anchor game also gets fucked since she won't get meter enough off her extended combos to do anything with Astral Vision and her other options will probably be more attractive to deal with the here and now threat in front of her.

Lower fireball damage back to previous Vanilla levels. That and a regular ground dash works pretty well if you want a nerf.

She doesn't need much of anything if you ask me. Once she runs out of meter she has bad damage, meh normals, low mobility and high defense. She is nothing special without astral vision. I don't see why anyone wants her to go back to that.

Yep, she is not a threat once she runs out of meter. Her only other useful hyper for damage is a level 3 so she is assed out pretty quick. Buffing her astral vision was the best idea they had for her and I'm glad they did it. It still takes enough work that people need to back her up with an assist to make the spam work too.

Her stuff is a far cry from Phoenix, XF3 Wesker, Spencer, Zero and a whole bunch of amazing solo characters.

Die and Chris G's pop that mode WAY more than twice per match. Even as an anchor, you can fly and chuck fireballs pretty safely, and even cover your downward approach with a drill kick. We've seen Die do it a million times, and really, there's not much you can do.

Her combos doing ass damage definitely hurts her game as an anchor though, but her lame game makes up for it.

My problem is she can gain her meter back far too easily to return to her dominating mode. Her aerial mobility is pretty good, I wouldn't call it meh. I don't want her to go back to Vanilla Morrigan, it's a nice change of pace, and I love how the lame game can coexist with the rushdown game, I'm just saying it's not perfect. If lowering fireball damage is the only way of lowering meter gain from her fireballs than so be it, but I'm not asking for something drastic either. Maybe a 10-15% max decrease.

EDIT: And in saying this, I do support letting it rock 100% instead of a nerf. I have ever since people have been crying for Sent nerfs.
