I for one am happy that Sket Dance is breaking the 100k barrier.

Hunter X Hunter 335:

Just read the mangastream version. The translation was much better than mangazone's, but higher quality scans really don't help "scribbles" that much.

Naruto: Kishi is really learning from Kubo. A whole lot of nothing that had no progression other than show off everyone and make a cool ass introduction for the Uchiha. Actually, this entire chapter was probably just an introduction for that last page. Whatever.

One Piece: Solid chapter, and although I didn't really see some of the attacks clearly (I'm sure the anime will rectify this), I thought Oda did a great job at conveying the tension/teamwork between the group. Kind of miffed that Sanji is being left out though.

Bleach:I'm starting to think that this is only time where you know an arc is starting. Fodder gets their ass whooped, Ichigo rushes in and saves them, badass pose, kick ass introductory chapter. "But I don't care about the fodder". Neither does Kubo, so I guess we all have something in common. Hope that he doesn't try to stretch the end out.

Bleach: Finally, Bleach is on its last arc. After experiencing the horrible arc with Ginjou, I realized Bleach needs to end. The perfect ending would've been when he defeated Aizen.

You know, even with the "scribbles", the current arc--and any other arcs too, for that matter--in Hunter x Hunter is a lot more engaging compared to the likes of Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

You say that until we get a Mikage romance arc. (And its totally coming)
I'm hoping that it'll be a sort of side thing happening in the background of other arcs. How did Arakawa handle romance in FMA? It's been a while and I can't even remember if there was any.

In any case, I choose to remain optimistic!

Bleach:

So, the Quincy's have to be involved in this somehow, right? I assume that's what the Thousand Year Blood War refers to and the talk about being the only force capable of destroying hollows outright.

Definitely. Ishida is on the color spread. Mayuri is the first big person we saw in this chapter and he's also the one who Ishida first fought against, along with being interested in Quincy. And of course, the Quincy and Shinigami have a long history not yet explored in the manga. The Quincy will be a big part of this arc.

Wow, no wonder Shueisha keeps Nura, it's doing damn good in volume numbers.
Though it did much better than usual in this week's TOC, it wasn't in the Bottom 5 and it wasn't a color page.

High school level of drawings don't engage me.

Togashi manages to express more emotion in his scribbles than most mangaka can when giving it their all. That crappy picture of Gon at the bottom of page 14 still manages to make you feel all the emotion he's feeling about seeing Ging again.

It's like I'm reading a DTL post

He couldn't keep a straight face because Togashi wouldn't draw one. Doodles everywhere!

Truth!

Though, I assume he'll fix it up for the Tankoubans. The tanks are very nice looking and no doodles at all so.

Anyway,

HxH

Great chapter. Gon meeting Ging and being Gon. I'd like to see what Kaito's last ditch Nen ability was all about. Killua and Alluka stuff is gonna hit the fan next week so it should be interesting to see what happens. Pariston just being a dick was pretty hilarious though. All that scheming just because he likes stirring up trouble for the hell of it. Kept old man Netero on his toes, heh.

Naruto

Nice transition chapter, finally getting a bit of time with everyone. I can't tell if this will be the final battle or not though.

some snippet that i thought were interesting from kishi's interview for shounen jump alpha.
Who are your current favorite characters?
My current favorites are Choji and Killer Bee.

Then we have to ask about one of our favorite characters, Killer Bee. How did this character come about?
My former editor really loves pro wrestling, and he wanted a character like a pro wrestler. All of Killer Bee's moves are related to pro wrestling, even though he's a ninja. He sucks at rapping, but he does it anyway. I wanted to make him into an interesting character as well as one of the most powerful ninja in the world of Naruto. I have a difficult time writing Killer Bee's lines because he always rhymes. But that's the persona that I gave his character. Even if it's difficult, I will always challenge myself to make him a rich character.

What is your feeling toward Sasuke now that he has gone through drastic change throughout the series?
Sasuke is always in the corner of my mind. Naruto and Sasuke progress as a pair. So when I write about Naruto, I always have to think about Sasuke. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum, like yin and yang.

The Akatsuki are one of the most colorful and intriguing set of villains in any manga. Why did you create the Akatsuki? Do you have a favorite?

Itachi, Sasuke's brother, is my favorite. The Akatsuki is an anti-hero group who are pitted against the main characters in Naruto. But I didn't want to just make them villains, because I thought there should be different reasons as to why they became outlaws against society. I wanted to explore their backgrounds just as much as I would for the heroes.

Who is your favorite undead ninja to bring back to life as one of Kabuto's army?
The people who were brought back by Kabuto's EdoTensei Reanimation jutsu are like zombies, but with their consciousness and memories intact from when they were alive. It allows the characters from the past to talk to the characters in the present. It's a fantasy element of the series.
While creating a story about war, I started thinking to myself that there must be a reason why war occurs, and I wanted the characters from the past to talk about it themselves.
Out of Kabuto's army, Deidara is my favorite character. Honestly, I think the EdoTensei Reanimation could make him the deadliest character because he can come back to life after he uses his special power to explode himself. I really like Deidara as a character.

You’ve been drawing and writing Naruto for over ten years. Compared to when you first started, how do you think you’ve grown and changed both as an artist and person?
During my career as a mangaka, I got married, had kids and became a father. This directly influenced the story in Naruto. Through these experiences, I realized the things that are important in the world. Being a parent gave me a different perspective, which I didn’t have when I was single.
The character Naruto represents a little bit of myself and a little bit of my child. It was after my child was born that I wanted to write about Naruto’s parents. The way Naruto’s parents feel about him is very close to how I feel toward to my kids.
But I don’t want to get too preachy because manga must always be entertaining. It has to be told from the kid’s point of view. Even if I died someday, I want to leave a work in the world that would let my kids understand what I always wanted to tell them.

Last but not least, what do you want to say to the fans of Naruto in the U.S.?
Naruto is getting close to the climax of the series, and it's going to get really heated from now on, so keep following Naruto until the end. That would make me really happy.

It doesn't really make sense. He says Itachi is his favorite Akatsuki, but then Deidara is his favorite edo. Unless he's not counting Itachi since he broke out of Kabuto's control?

he says deidara is his favorite zombie since he could best make use of the perks while itachi is his favorite out of the organization.

Beezlebub

Shit's getting funny as fuck, it's been a while. So much goddamn training arcs yonder. Looks like Hilda really is this manga's waifu.

Toriko

Toriko at it's best right here. Shit's getting real with them finally together. Rin looks moe now, which is different.

Reborn is still terrible but the babies are so boss.

Beelzebub

Funny, Hilda is really great.

Toriko

Nice to see all the heavenly interact with each other. I knew that Komatsu will find and capture the fish. Madam fish is pretty awful name.

hxh

what still amazes me is that hisoka was going to kill killua so he could make an enemy of illumi because that would be more fun. that really did shock me as i thought he really wanted both killua and gon to mature into great fighters. wonder if he wanted to make illumi an enemy knowing his father would most likely come after him as well and that was part of the fun. don't know if silva would come after hisoka if he killed illumi. i wonder if hisoka's interest in killua will be renewed once he sees what he is capable of now. if illumi and killua fight i'm sure killua will level up.

Or next chapter will have Gon and Killua reunited as Killua is balling his eyes off and Gon is all, "I must see Kaito." and they go see the girl reincarnation of Kaito and Gon gives her a hug and talks to her for a bit. Then it ends with a chapter spread of every character in the entire series together in a single group posing for a picture (including Hisoka and Illumi) with the words THE END plastered on the bottom.

How exactly do you guys feel about this? I mean I know we're all going to go, "Damn right! About time they ended Naruto and Bleach!" but in reality, two of the main three are finally going to end. What series are going to elevate to take their places amongst One Piece or will One Piece reign as the #1 series?

Toriko and Bakuman probably.

Has Bakuman shown any signs of ending soon?

I kinda sorta dropped it... Thought it wouldn't take too long to wrap up and I'd just read it on through to the end.

What series are going to elevate to take their places amongst One Piece
Mario? :P

I probably won't be frequenting forum manga discussions much anymore. While I read plenty of manga, Naruto's the only one I ever really talk about these days.

Nura no Mago, Beelzebub and Gamaran. I'm just dreaming here but still.

Toriko and Bakuman are zzz.

I like Toriko, but it really is a pretender to the big three throne. It's a shame, because Shueisha has pushed it so incredibly hard since chapter one.

Neither of those could hope to achieve the sales of Naruto and Bleach. Toriko struggles to match Gintama sales.
Shueisha doesn't give a shit, they're going to push Toriko cause the readership is high in the actual serialization. There's various forms of popularity and in the public's eyes, Toriko will never be as big as Naruto and Bleach, but in Jump's eyes it's already there aka your just mad an actual manly ass manga instead of a manga with a bunch of twinks is taking up the reign.
