I was wondering a little more about the video quality in general. Like, if the recording itself was well done. Do they have decent camera angles, no audio issues, etc?

Not anymore. Generally pretty decent standard. Used to be 2 guys with camcorders running around the outside of the ring. Progressed so far in 10 years. Probably on par (if not better) with ROH.
ROH is a bad comparison around these parts.

I think the Smark Mark dudes always shoot the events well "Thirteenth Hat" was particularity well done. No audio issues great video quality. The commentary was as always awesome. Buy now!

A lot of people are down on ROH quality because of Final Battle, even though that was one show and those kind of mistakes aren't a usual thing for them.

I understand that at the Manhattan ROH event I went to last year, Steen's incredible promo was sabotaged by shitty audio problems.
(then again, all I remember from the promo was "Fuck Ring of Honor!")

Well I watch it because it's "fake", not in spite of. Whatever, it's not easy being a fan in the eye's of other people but I sure do enjoy the shenanigans. It's a good form of escape among my other hobbies. I think this by far gets me the most LOLs and OMGs! Nothing else like it...

Yeah, I pretty much have no interest in sports, because they're about competition. Pro Wrestling is a series of interesting mostly-duet cooperative dances, and that's far more interesting and fun to me.

Punk and Y2J first. Cycle in Daniel Bryan and any 4 of them would give you a solid wrestling match.
Know what else is fake? Game of Thrones. Sopranos. The Wire. Boardwalk Empire. Seinfeld. Half, or more, of the "reality" shows out there.

I think the difference is that WWE still attempts to pass itself off as being real. Or at least, a good portion of the public still THINKS it does, anyway.

They're putting on a show, that's what they're SUPPOSED to do. You don't see actors from Breaking Bad stopping in the middle of a scene going "HEY GUISE, DIS AIN'T REAL METH, DON'T WORRY I'M NOT REALLY HIGH, AND HE'S NOT REALLY A DEALER." They're performers and it's their job to set up the "reality" of their show.
It's like someone going to Broadway plays and getting criticized because "OMG WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT THEY'RE SO FAKE!" Once someone uses that line with, the discussion is over because nothing will get through.
Del Rio should continue the gimmick, but stop the BS scared heel gimmick that....uh all heels have to do. I loved him in that cage match before the injury. He looked like he wasn't fucking around. He did the same thing in his beatdowns on Punk before Survivor Series. He looked like he was trying to hurt Punk, he wasn't doing the corny ass fake punches that most WWE guys do during beatdowns.

He has a pretty solid background in Greco Roman wrestling (he once beat Randy Couture in a Greco match). He did MMA for a bit but never anything too big.
