Andersons one is even better (worst)
Is the inability to holster just an artifact of the demo, or is the entire game like that?
Fair enough. But I think it is unfair for someone to be labeled a Bioware fanboy/apologist/etc if they do enjoy the story/dialogue or the other things people here are dismissing.
Probably the worst running animation I have ever seen. I found out that if you stand in front of Anderson during those running sequences he will push you all the way there.
Really not that different from being labeled "hater" when there's specific stuff you don't like. Funny how that works.
I'm sorry, where did I simply just call someone a "hater"?

I disagree with that choice, I always enjoyed holstering weapons and lookign around the enviroment.Even full retail will not have the ability to holster during missions.
going to download the demo tonight. is the x360 version much better than ps3? was thinking of trying it out on ps3 first since i have a ps3 in my bedroom .....
When you start up Amalur it will give you a quest to check the chest in the first town. I believe the quest is called Special Delivery.does anyone know where i can check to see if i have the unlocks for the ME3/Amalur demos? i played through the ME3 demo this morning but i didn't notice any unlocks pop up. I could have missed it but it would be nice to check a site to see if i really do have them.
I thought it was really dark too. Even after increasing the gamma a bit in options.

Ugh, playing the PS3 demo right now and the framerate is aggravating. This is flat-out laziness on Bioware's part. And even if they don't want to take the time and get it running better, at least scale down the graphics so that it is playable. COME ON.

So who all is dead if you pick the "Many people died" option when making your character?
Frame rate is really fucking bad in the ps3 demo during cutscenes.
Wow that sucks. Glad I am buying the 360 version.
I found the 360 framerate pretty bad too. The PC framerate is awesome, though.
Yeah, Anderson should be frolicking in a field somewhere with the bounce he has in that step.Andersons one is even better (worst)

Did ME2 have any issues on PS3?
So you either have shit framerate and gamepad, or great framerate and keyboard + mouse.
Thankfully i'm good with keyboard + mouse or else i'll be mad like some of GAF.

No, not this bad. There was a few parts in the game where it chugged, but for the most part smooth.
you can still play with a gamepad either way. I didn't notice any issues with the framerate on 360.So you either have shit framerate and gamepad, or great framerate and keyboard + mouse.

At least I don't have to hold the spacebar to run during that part. Haha, I hope that's in the final game.Probably the worst running animation I have ever seen. I found out that if you stand in front of Anderson during those running sequences he will push you all the way there.
Man, I really need to download the PC demo. I don't remember ME2 performance being so poor on the 360 so I tried that demo first just so I could lay back on the couch while playing.
But I can't let that framey, stuttery experience be my only time with this game before launch.

Especially at 120fps 8).Yeah. the PC demo is mad smooth. Check it out.
It's pretty sloppy in comparison to the PC version, which is buttery smooth.

I'll just assume that's not final.
Haven't noticed any framerate issues at all on the 360 personally.

Edit: Some slight stutter in a few cutscenes.
I thought this demo was absolutely hysterical. Framerate on 360 is awful. They're trying so hard to be epic and failing miserably. You can actually hear the voice actors rolling their eyes while they speak their lines. Not only did none of my dialogue choices matter but Shepard didn't even bother to say any of the lines I chose, not even the proper tone. That kid's dialogue and voice acting...oh my god, someone call M Night Shamalyan and let them know he has a contender. Spoiler Alert: he's imaginary and Shepard when he/she was a kid.
The wack-a-mole combat, and the hilarious b movie enemies. Explosions where all you hear are glass shattering. Running on a ledge that you can't drop out of. The extreme linearity. The total fakeness of the whole scenario...the planet is being destroyed and it has about as much impact on the player emotionally as a kid kicking down a sand castle.
How does Bioware do such a magnificently hilarious satire on modern gaming and keep such a straight face? I couldn't do it.
