Asians generally don't like black people. Anyone shocked by this is either not asian or hasn't lived there. In asia (all of asia) you are judged by the color of your skin and this has been the case for centuries.

It's especially bad out west because a lot of them haven't forgotten the race riots where Korean neighborhoods were targeted for who knows what reason.

I will second this.

Being from India, last time I went back home after moving from Chicago to Charlotte, from hardly seeing the Sun to lots of Sun my skin had become a lot more darker. The first thing my Aunt said to me when I got off the plane and came out (translated to English), "Wow, you have become so much darker. Take care of yourself better"

"Fair Skin" is a characteristic you put in marriage ads.

I know right?! Silly things to say, if real. Having had korean inlaws, they didn't care much for my black skin, and weren't shy about letting me know. Just non stop racist jokes, in broken english. My lady cared for me though, so I can officially say 1 in 2 koreans are in fact, completely racist.

This is a scientific fact.

Meh, the reality is that more homogenous societies are significantly less racially aware or sensitive. Thus, people are more prone to say insanely racist things.

I love my grandparents, but they have very extremely ignorant thoughts about other races due to the fact that they never see them.

That said, they wouldn't say something this insane. But I've certainly heard similarly extreme shit from dumbass Korean kids.
