JennY Hyun (not the songwriter for Girls Generation) does not like black people

Maybe her accounts got hacked? Of course people like this exist, but it just seems extra stupid for an aspiring artist to be so open and over the top about it.

guys be nice

aside from this one mishap, SNSD is a very wholesome group

I have to say, I'm kind of surprised that racism of this sort still upsets people.

Hey, you know what's funny? That kind of racism makes me laugh, because it's so freakishly cartoonish that you really can't take it too seriously.

The kind of racism that goes along the lines of "stop being offended! it'll go away if you just accept it and we can all call each other NIGGA together! it's on the way out already because BLACK PRESIDENT!" is the kind that's most offensive.

I wonder if someone who she close to and black really pissed her off as her blog seems very color neutral with stuff from Africa and even rap music videos up until the last week.

That "(of SNSD)" in the thread title is embarassing.

Somebody take that out. There's already enough mindless hating on them here.

This is probably true. Though as I mentioned, out west things get a little complicated because there's history there. A lot of Korean neighborhoods and businesses were torched during the race riots. The hatred runs deep in some families now.

yeah, the rodney king riots did a lot of damage all around unfortunately. that was some scary stuff.

Uhhh...what exactly did Floyd say?

"Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise."
As stupid as it was for him to say that, I'm not quite sure calling for genocide against all blacks is the same thing.

I like how this thread is bringing out hate in so many different ways:
1) The response to the absolute racist vitriol that was spouted from this woman
and
2) The SNSD fanboys who just want to make sure their precious band is not slandered.

It does seem very strange. It all seems to have kicked off a week ago. You'll find previous blog posts of YouTube videos starring black artists.

She writes the songs for the girls puppets in the band so I bet you could find a lot of racial subtext buried in those lyrics if you went and analyzed it.
Trying to look like you know something when you don't doesn't get you very far on GAF.

It's amusing how some people in this thread are more concerned with clarifying this woman's assocation with SNSD rather than addressing the content/vitriol of her tweets.

It's a little nice to see things like the Internet, where a hate filled comment made from someone in a largely homogeneous country can be called out on by people around the globe.

is it just me or has there always been a lot of racial tension between blacks and asians in america?

Anecdotal, but my girlfriend (whose parents are Malaysian) recently told me I couldn't ever meet her parents, because they don't like black people and would have nothing to do with her if they found out about our relationship. :/

Well, it is the factually wrong thing in the thread title.

I am somewhat obviously repelled by what she said. How exactly do I "address the vitriol" ?

lol.. wont she, being asian, be divided by zero there?

Edit:

If her account is hacked, its still a giant lol @ whomever is writing this. I haven't seen racism this good in a while.

They accept the Japanese and make exceptions with some other (pale) Asians from time to time. The negro scourge is obviously a much more pressing issue.

why? people should know better than to judge the whole by one persons comments

If this thread goes on for several pages, there's inevitably going to be someone who's like "oh yeah, well Asians are ______". And maybe not even here on GAF, but just someone reading this.

People get heated.

I can't believe this person is being sincere. I mean, I'm trying so hard to get a job, why would you throw it all away over some bullshit like this? I guess some people are just crazy.
