Bleach

Souken also told Uryuu that his desire was for quincies and shinigami to fight side by side. In response to Uryuu asking him if the shinigami were at fault for wiping out the quincies, Souken replied that it was better to work at a way to ensure it never happened again. Well, if one old peacenik, one retired quincy and one novice are all that's left how on earth could the quincy/shinigami war ever happen again for Souken to be so worried about avoiding a repeat of history?

While the rest just seem like interpretation, this part seems the most reasonable. On to the war!

Ashita Dorobo vol 2

Alien Ashita really believes anything Kyoichi tells her. This volume has 2 new character appear (3 if you consider the captain of the ninja squad, but I don't care about him),
Nanako and Black Ashita, who's born from Nanako's imagination and reveals that there is some master plan from which Ashita version beta is straying off because of Kyoichi, so she's come to eliminate him. This latest twist is adding even more action to the story, which isn't bad, though the part I liked more about this volume has to be chapter 12 with the confession in the past of Kyoichi to Ashita and the revelation that Ashita is "the perfect Tsundere".

I kinda doubt Kubo's ability in writing a war like One Piece or Naruto. Every battle so far turned out to be 1 vs 1 battles often about characters we don't care about.
Why did you start talking about Kubo then go on to describe Kishimoto writing a war?

It's interesting to see where each of the anime for the big three is in relation to the manga. Naruto is about 70 chapters behind right now, and One Piece is about 40 chapters behind. Meanwhile the Bleach anime is a mere 20 chapters from the end of the Lost Agent arc, so depending on how they pace it they really could get it all done in the five episodes before the rumored end date.

They should, I would love some spare final bleach celebration episode, they already do them for new years so might as well do it for the last one, plus to see soul society.

One Piece could slow down a bit.

GAMARAN

Wow wow wow

Wow wow wow wow

calm down there buddy

another leader?

STREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETCHing stuff.

It's like if Oda just decided that when Luffy and crew finally find One Piece, it is actually just a note saying "Hey guys? Want to know about TWO PIECE?" Hahaha.

By the way, does anyone reading Gamaran ever noticed how much "Hmph" the characters are throwing around? Is this true to the original Japanese text or merely a result of translation?

Gamaran ended when the training arc began.

Magi v.2

There's a great sense of mystery and adventure to the story, despite the very MMO-esque setup of the world. The art is good, too--it nicely conveys the scale of the setting.

Diamond no Ace
This is mediocre at best. I'm 30 chapters in and close to dropping this. Maybe its just the translation but I'm kind of surprised this won any awards at all.

Basilisk END

I don't know what to think. I liked the premise but the execution was severely lacking. It felt very anti-climatic at times and the ending was sooo obvious. Oh well, at least it had some good abilities and wasn't that long.

Nisekoi 15

Reverse trap chapter, I wonder how she will fall for the MC in the next few chapters. I can imagine a number of ways, all equally trashy
and fun

Yeah that was a bit of a stretch but I'm guessing that "new leader" will just be killed by the real one for the shock effect, right before Gama gets to them.

If the new leader turns out to actually be a thing, that's pretty silly.

Fairy Tail

Natsu panels like those are the best, the best part of the chapter. This continues to be one of the most shocking arcs in Fairy Tail so far. Never have I ever encountered characters or a team on a consistently losing basis. If Natsu even loses, then wow Mashima would have utterly surprised me even more, well even if Natsu wins too, so many paths to go, I cant predict them all. Probably my second favorite Lucy fight, Lucy fight with Juvia in the tower with the raid attack was her best.

Fairy Tail

Ugh stuff like this annoys me so damn much,

enemies that are cheating so damn obviously during
an entire match and not a single person in the entire
tournament that seems to notice it. The mere suggestion
of outside influence like this should be reason to call
a match void.

You'd think that a magic tournament would have some way to detect outside magical interference.

This.

The threatening a little girl to win thing I can sort of buy, cause it was subtle.

But there's no way nobody in the jury/on the judge panel in a magic tournament isn't keeping track of if all spells cast are used by the tournament fighters themselves.

Even if they didn't trace the specific source (HINT: THE GUY THE GIRL LOOKED AT IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT HAPPENED They should at least have the ability to tell that it
wasn't one of the tournament fighters that was responsible for that spell vanishing.

Unless they're specifically corrupt this entire chapter makes the staff behind this tournament
seem extremely inept, anyone with a spell that doesn't require them to "visibly cast it" can pretty much skew the match in their allies' favor, that's pretty much the worst
transgression possible in this type of tournament. How do they not have measures
against that?

I don't mind the opponent cheating to uneven the odds that much, but the implications of this are just absurd.

Fairy Tail

Forget about them not detecting his interference. I can get that. There's still that "lost magic" stuff that no one knows. It's possible.

It's fine. Let the dude erase magic. I don't care.

What's annoying is how they completely ignored her threat on Asuka. That shit was discovered. She was caught, red handed. Everyone saw what happened there. So what the fuck?

It only seemed that Natsu and people around it noticed and it perhaps it was allowed within the rules? I mean, the entire tournament grounds is the battlefield even.

Fairy Tail

This tournament is dumb. How do you not keep track of outside interference?

EDIT: Charibro's right. SHE WAS CAUGHT ATTACKING THE AUDIENCE. How was she not disqualified there and then?

Fairy Tail
This something Mashima does way to much .
yeah i like come backs but are you going to gimp FT until near end again can't things be even for once .
Not to mentioned how the fuck could they not see the other people were cheating when they were so many ways .

Oh come on, how else are they going to have the crowd go agaisnt FT, until the last battle where Natsu puts up a brave display while getting hammered and wins the crowd over who starts cheering him on and regains his shounen spirit while thinking of his friends tears to defeat the opponent in a gloriously predictable fashion.
