Ughh, what issue does the farm arc end on? I might pick up on the comics...don't want to wait till fall, hehe.

I hope you're not planning on skipping the first issues of the comic because you didn't like the farm sections of of the show. Don't do that. The plot of the comic and the plot of the show are very diffrent.

Sorry, but ninja girl with pet zombies out of nowhere seemed pretty stupid.

I'll reserve all real judgments about her until she actually gets a chance to do something, and for all I know she could turn out to be a good character, but it reeked of bad anime at first impression.

Rest of the episode was pretty good, and Season 2 was definitely a step up over Season 1 (I wasn't even bothered that they spent the whole time at the farm), and I hope they continue that upward trajectory for Season 3.

I don't get why he even came to a complete stop, just slow it down a bit so Rick can do a dramatic slow mo jump onto it like he's Commander Shepard!

I don't think Carl would've made the jump (in before "well, that's fine with me!"), and Rick would've had his legs out for the zombies to chew on possibly. It was a jump-able gap but a pretty wide one.

rofl can someone walk me through this thought process?

'psh, zombies? i ain't driving this anymore'

RIP kid who was once seen hammering a nail.

I almost didn't reply from this comment but clearly you don't read the comics.

So i will give you a heads up, if you hate one of the best characters of the comic then stop watching, because if you think she is stupid then you will hate season 3 and the prison stuff.

I like how Carol thinks she wouldn't be a burden as soon as Daryl whisks her away. Please kill her off soon.

Now Lori is needing Andrea around to defend them when she just got done telling her to stick to laundry.

Was there any sort of significance to Shane hoarding Ammo, outside of showing how much of a maniac he was?

Swore that would come into play at some point, but outside of them being low on ammo (Not really, they were fucking pissing bullets), nothing. Does anyone remember what car he was putting them in?

So why was Carl crying when Rick went all Shane-like and angry?

I thought he was into that kind of shit.
Imagine what he just went through. And they just heard noise in the woods. That whole situation was tense as fuck. The kids like 12.

I'm pretty sure he started crying because of what Rick said.

"I KILLED MY BEST FRIEND FOR ALL OF YOU!"

That's when Carl looked at his father in horror because Rick never told Carl how Shane died at the beginning of the finale.

He put them in the car Glen and Maggie eventually took because he was still considering leaving

The other idea was removing Rick and Hershel from power but he couldn't pull that alone (or even with Andrea)

So it looks like Daryl is really the only one left who's still on Rick's side... At least semi-loyal, I guess. Maybe Herschel too?

Maggie, Glenn, Carol, probably even Lori want to get the fuck out of there.

Carl and Beth are probably just scare and confused.

T-Dog is interesting. No idea where his stance is, but his willingness to just bolt on the group when they were in the truck might be telling of his role in the third season.

The kid driving the RV was dumb. Soooo dumb.

Kind of a disappointing finale to be honest. Lori is the worst character on the show.

Lori 4 episodes ago: "I think you should kill Shane".

Lori tonight: "I hate you for killing Shane"

Such a dumb plot hole.

She probably felt bad because she had that contrived heart-to-heart with him before he died.

I agree, sort of silly writing. Lori's apology to Shane seemed to come out of nowhere.

She missed his penis. Thats the only rationale for her stupidity.

Didn't T-Dog bail on his friend (the black chick, Jackie was it?) in the season 1 finale too?

If I remember correctly she was like "I'm staying here to die" and he was like "Alright, peace out then" and just left without really caring or trying to convince her to leave with the rest. T-Dog only cares about himself.

T-Dog also volunteered to get Merle since losing the key was his fault

but it's understandable if one loses the taste for wandering into danger

Pretty good season finale, I think. Even though I hated all the "Sophia is missing!" episodes of this season, I think the ones after that have been good. Season 3 should be good, a prison seems like a safe place to be, not sure how it will be compromised and how they will leave it. I assume they do.

He had no ties to her. Her husband/whoever died during the RV attack when no one was watching for walkers.

Lori tonight: "I hate you for killing Shane"

Such a dumb plot hole.

To be fair, she never told Rick to kill Shane explicitly.

She was just warning him that "Shane is dangerous and he won't stop."

She probably had something more diplomatic in mind, like talking Shane out of his sociopathic tendencies. What's sad is that Rick tried. He really did.

And now he's easily the most bad ass character on the show. Can't believe how much he's changed after 2 seasons.

Also, Kirkman hyping up Season 3 like no other.

Rick's gone hardcore. Funny thing is he's still right about pretty much everything he's saying, in the same way Shane was.

This group doesn't like the truth being told in such direct fashion, it seems.

Great finale. I really enjoyed it. I liked the entire season and didn't really mind that they were on the farm the whole time. I'm digging the Glen and Maggie relationship. It was great when Darrel stuck up for Rick. I love the new bad ass Ricktatorship. I can't wait to see who that ninja chick is. I also hope Merle comes back in season 3. Plus I'd like to see the father and son from season 1 come back. So hyped!

On the negative side, Lori and Sophia's mom are very annoying and I miss Shane.

I think this was probably the silliest episode in the series so far. Besides the obvious nerd wankery with the mystery ronin, we had the zombies getting stuck against a chest-high plank fence when we previously saw them scaling 10-foot chain link fences, Biblical one-liners, extraordinarily flammable zombies, and more headshots than an Unreal Tournament LAN.

The MST3K factor hasn't quite made up for the loss of Camelot yet, but this seems to have good enough ratings that it won't get canceled soon.

Yes. It was especially hilarious because it came right after a scene where Dale pleaded with Andrea not to do the same thing.

After catching the encore now, I have to say that up until the last 15 minutes or so, I thought it was a great episode. But Lori being fucking dumb during the 'I killed Shane' revelation and Maggie and Carol wanting to bolt just pissed me off at how dumb it was.
"Oh, we would be better off on our own!" Fucking morons... If that is how Carol is going to act, then I hope *COMIC SPOILERS*
we see her die the same death she dies in the comics. Serve her right.
*END COMIC SPOILERS*

And while watching TTD now, I still don't care for the actress who plays Andrea, but I am surprised that they make her look so much older on the show.
I wonder who is going to be coming back out of Merle, Duane, and Morgan. 33% chance one is coming back?
Obviously it points to Merle, but I wonder if it could be the appearance of 'Crazy Morgan' from the comics.
Interesting to know that Jimmy was supposed to die in Dale's place. It's too bad Dale is so attached to Darabont...

It was nice having a Shane-less episode too. Fucker was going to die at some point even if the comics didn't exist. There was no way his 'Do whatever the fuck I want' approach to survival could have kept him alive too long.

Welp, bring on the prison, Michonne, and S3!!!
(fuck waiting until October...)

Great finale.

Only disappointed that they didn't use up a golden opportunity to cull some of the useless or annoying cast, like Carol, T-Dog, Carl, and Lori. Instead, we lost characters I didn't even know the names of, let alone that they even existed.
