Tinnitus ahoy ?

I swear I have tinnitus but the ENT said i was fine :(

I can hear this noise. My friend has something at the balcony they keep their stupid little chihuahuas on that makes a lower frequency noise to shut them up and it's so annoying when we're swimming or playing basketball arghh.

Damn, but I could hear it. And I'm old and play loud music.

Yeah ironically I've lost a good amount of hearing in my left ear, and a decent amount in my right but I could hear it, I think it's just bull anyways:P

That DID hurt.

Ok, people make sure the volume is low before you listen to this thing.

I'm not joking.

I wish I read this post before I listened to it.

!*$%&#@$%^~&#$ ! ! !

It feels like my ears have been permanently damaged.

It actually made me feel a little uneasy. It felt like my skull was vibrating.

Could hear it out of my left ear...only kind of in my right (stupid accidents).

Tried this on my dad and he couldn't hear a thing. :lol

I could hear, im 17, my mom who is 41, couldnt hear a thing and thought i was lying. Ill try it on my dad in a few minutes

I can hear it (I'm 20). I played it for my dad (who is 58) and he didn't hear squat. :lol

It's that same sound that I hear when I know that the TV is on even before I enter the room.

because vibrate still makes a sound....an annoying one at that.

But you get SO MUCH PLEASURE from it. And if you have the phone in your pocket or something it shouldn't really make a noise when it's vibrating, only if you have it on a hard surface. Either way, you're saying this noise ISN'T annoying? :lol

I guess one reason to have it would be if you forget to silence your phone for whatever reason....so the teacher doesn't throw you out.

Don't get me wrong, that sound is irksome as well, but if adult/teachers can't hear it at all then its the lesser of two evils :)

I can hear it, but I'm having trouble wondering why someone needs to make a phone call in school so badly that you'd be willing to put up with this noise.

Did you seriously enter all those characters?

STOP READING COMIC BOOKS AND SWEAR LIKE A MAN

Why not just put your phone on vibrate and receive the message without the teacher knowing? Works great for me when out with a woman and another woman texts me.....

RE: vibrate - you can still hear the phone vibrate. This tone is supposed to make it so that only the kids can hear when the phone does something. As we can see, though, it works for old(ish) folks too. For example, I know I can hear it.

Ahhhh, that MP3 needs a damn warning on it. That f*cking hurts, man.

I HATE sounds like that. My ears are wayyy to sensitive to sound (a bitch for concerts) and that sort of thing drives me crazy. It is indeed very similar to the sound emitted by CRTs, but much MUCH louder. I feel a headache coming on...

Interesting idea, but I'd want to punch anyone using that as a ring tone.

27 years old and can hear it fine, and it does sound a bit like the sound of a TV being on (which I can always hear from a few rooms away). It does kinda stay with you afterwards, but I can absolutely tell when it starts or stops.

if you can't hear this and it's not some shitty computer monitors then you have a serious problem. Quit going to loud concerts or doing anything remotely loud without really good hearing protection. You're going to **** up your ears. 15khz isn't that high.

it's like a harsher version of the constant ringing i have in my ears when everything around me is quiet. weak.

too many metal shows on the barrier without earplugs in small venues when i was younger...

I can see why this is used as some sort of torture device, wow.
I only played it for less than 10 sec before I had to shut it off :P

So the consensus is that old foggies can't hear it, but everyone else can and would be pissed off hearing it?

AND FEEL IT. It goes right through my body.
All my life...And with EVERY ELECTRONIC DEVICE EVER MADE! My parents used to think I was crazy until I closed my eyes and was able to walk through the electronics section in Sears ala Daredevil.

Darien couldn't haer it.

Just saying is all...

Yeah, its just kinda stupid and self-defeating if everyone around you is yelling "turn off that ****ing noise!" when your phone rings. Won't be silent to anyone at that point :)

Some of you must have actual "ultra vibe 2000" vibrators for mobile phones then, a normal phone vibrating in your pocket or bag does not make a loud/noticable sound.

Being in HS, I know that cell phone vibration is easily heard in a quiet [class]room. All the teachers hear it; alot of them just choose to ignore it, though.
