Spike vrs Geraldo deathmatch. Someone set it up.
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if alot more stupid shit comes out of this and innocent people get hurt because of it. Thats what happens when you make it a racial issue. Does anyone here actually think Zimmerman murdered Trayvon because he was black, and he hated black people?
I think he saw what he perceived as a suspicious kid and stupidly followed him, the kid obviously freaked out because a man was following him, and a tragedy happened.

Uh, who says weight isn't an important factor in this story?
Martin is a 17 year old 140lb teenager, with no apparent history of fighting, legally or illegally. There is absolutely no way he could beat up Zimmerman. Even if Zimmerman was completely untrained and that 250lb was fat, with Martin being 140lb of pure muscle and 3 years of MMA training, that fight would be hard to call.
The reality? Zimmerman more likely has mow experience fighting and is probably reasonably muscular (going by photos and the fact that he's training to be a cop).
Yeah, it's not video evidence, but in a court of law, those points will be brought up to poke holes in Zimmerman's "I was being beaten within an, inch of my life" story.

Seriously? You think in a case where a defendant is claiming a particular level of assault, the likelihood of that assault taking place won't be brought up? I mean, I'm not a lawyer, so I'll defer to your knowledge here - but explain to me what part of my statement is laughable?Go ahead and use that defense in court. Be prepared for laughter, a lost case, and a law firm telling you they no longer want you working for them.

not now, but right now.DAMMIT SPIKE!
That shit is wrong man. He needs to apologize right now!
In a dramatic moment on the House floor this morning, Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) was asked to leave the chamber after taking off his suit jacket and revealing that he was wearing a hoodie during a speech in tribute to Trayvon Martin.
Rush, who donned the hood and put on sunglasses in support of Martin, the Florida teenager who was gunned down last month in a racially-tinged incident, was escorted out of the House chamber after repeated requests by the presiding officer to leave. Wearing a hood or hat while the House is in session is against House rules.
"Racial profiling has to stop Mr. Speaker," Rush said while taking off his suit jacket, "Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum."

Because he hates black people, and wants them dead or gone? No..
Because he racial profiled a kid and assumed he was up to no good because he was black? Yes..
There is big difference but both do involve race...

That a little guy couldnt possibly beat up a bigger guy. You havent even factored in that perhaps the little guy jumped the bigger guy from behind, which is what Zimmerman claims (via his lawyer). Your defense would be easily countered by simply listing off a slew of cases in which a little guy beat up a big guy. The problem with this case against Zimmerman is that Trayvon tells his girlfriend that he's going after the guy, which lends credence to Zimmerman stating that he was attacked. Where I have a problem with all of this is that Zimmerman should have never left his damn car when he was told not to. In my mind, even if he was attacked by Trayvon, it was because he instigated it, which wouldnt have happened if he stayed in the damn car as police dispatch instructed. The end result of what happened that night might in fact be self-defense, but he caused the situation.
Because of the time he was out, how he was dressed, and that he thought he was looking in windows. I really believe Zimmerman would have followed the exact same kid if he was white, and nothing else was different. I dont think he followed him solely because he was black. He has a history of playing neighborhood watch guy, and given all the people he probably watched or called the cops on, I would highly doubt all of them were black.
No way to prove Im right, or wrong tho. You can only assume. Again, thats what Im seeing here, alot of assumptions.
Congressman escorted from House after wearing hoodie in Trayvon Martin tribute

I saw NPR tweet this over lunch. Of course the Rep. from Mississippi would be the one to speak up. Never change......
It's not that simple, if there is a claim that Martin was into of him holding him down - that essentially is close to impossible with the weight difference. It doesn't take a single case of a smaller man winning against a bigger man to discount specific claims made by the defendant. That a little guy couldnt possibly beat up a bigger guy. Did new stuff surface saying Trayvon said to his girlfriend that he was going after the guy...?
As soon as Zimmerman leaves his car, it's Martin who is Standing His Ground, and using self defense. It's not the completely absurd other way around.

He has a history of profiling black males specifically though AiTM. Can't neglect to mention that... Trayvon being black surely didn't help his image of a criminal at the time. Thats for sure.
He says he won't run, but then she specifies he runs anyway, matching Zimmerman's 911 call - of him spotting him, and then running away.Yep, my bad, the girlfriend tells him to run away from Zimmerman, but he says he won't run. He doesn't say he's going after him. The end result of not running is that Zimmerman comes up on him and a conversation begins between Zimmerman and Trayvon, at which time the girlfriend says the call ended.

He couldn't be attacked from behind and hit in the nose at the same time... The man's story has changed so many times...
And ninja teleported behind him?
Seriously, did Martin tell his girlfriend he was going after him? Last I heard he was running away, thought he lost him, and then all of a sudden ran into him again.
here's a huge disconnect. He approaches Martin, an argument occurs, then he turns around and walls back to his car? That can't have happened, if he approached Martin first, Zimmerman has been caught lying, as he says he never approached himUnless he gets hit from behind, falls, attempts to roll over and get back up but cant because now Trayvon is on him punching him in the face and slamming his head into the sidewalk, which if I'm not mistaken is what his lawyer is suggesting. The screaming, if it is in fact Zimmermans, would make sense if this account actually happened. And I find it plausible, but I also find it acceptable for Trayvon to act in such a manner if he thought he was being stalked. The shitty part is that the only side of the story that will ever exist now is Zimmerman's because no one else apparently saw it, and the police did a shitty job collecting evidence.

Or Zimmerman turns and walks away and it happens. The lawyer and his "friend" are clear that there's "huge" holes in the story that aren't being told. Hopefully soon we'll hear it all. Until then all anyone is doing is guessing.
Zimmerman has changed his story at least twice, afaik. In other words, he's been lying since the beginning.here's a huge disconnect. Doesn't that just nullify the entire argument about him jumping someone...?
You heard the same statement we heard. Which says hes not going to run, hes going to walk. Then she hears Zimmerman say "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Then the phone goes dead.
need to re-read it myself. Seems I may be confused.
His first story was he was doing his "duty" and the kid rushed him and clocked him in the nose causing him to fall back and then the kid mounted him UFC style and smashed his head to the ground... And now he is saying the kid jumped him from behind.. Pretty hard to mix that up in a statement...
He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man, his 16-year-old girlfriend said. I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.

Trayvon said, What are you following me for, and the man said, What are you doing here. Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the headset just fell. I called him again and he didnt answer the phone, she said.

Call logs confirm her story. The phone call between Trayvon Martin and his girlfriend occurred just five minutes

This is like someone saying, and considering this thread someone probably has, that statistically blacks are the aggressor in a majority of cases when it's a black and hispanic altercation ergo Trayvon is the aggressor.
Yeah, me too. Here it is:
“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man. I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.”
“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”
“[Trayvon] knew he was being followed and tried to get away from the guy, and the guy still caught up with him and that’s the most disturbing part. He thought he had got away from the guy and the guy back-tracked for him.”
I don't know if it's bullshit or not, but someone said Trayvon made a 911 call. When during all of this did that occur?

Which is apparently why one of the officers didn't believe the story and requested an arrest warrant be issued. Denied by the state's attorney, but why?
http://www.tampabay.com/news/public...st-george-zimmerman-in-trayvon-martin/1222259A Sanford police incident report shows the case was categorized as "homicide/negligent manslaughter."
The State Attorney's Office held off pending further review, the Herald reported.
"Zimmerman provided a statement claiming he acted in self-defense which at the time was supported by physical evidence and testimony," Lee wrote in a memo posted on the city's website. "By Florida Statute, law enforcement was PROHIBITED from making an arrest based of the facts and circumstances they had at the time."
