Edit: How in the hell do I always end up being the first post at the top of a new page? Oh well, no news lately, just some little tidbits from the EU Fanday (the biggest being that the Pre-Purchase Beta access has no NDA) and a new GAF Podcast tomorrow night or early Wednesday.
Exactly. GW starts off almost as a generic caricature of fantasy worlds; pretty green landscapes, undead-filled ruins, quaint little country towns where you need to help farmers get rid of pesky monsters...
Then the Searing hits and it's like "What happened?!" I swear, somebody at ANet spent a lot of time getting Pre-Searing Ascalon just long enough to be endearing and memorable before they kick you in the teeth and rip it away from you. Hell, I didn't play GW1 that much and I still look at the Searing thing as one of those suckerpunch gaming moments.
Never once expected that kind of event...all of a sudden I woke up to a...whoa...
What happened to the world?
